With heavy hearts, I wanted to let all of you know that the one and only Chip Giles has passed.

Many of you knew Chip from ordering Fords, especially F-150s and Super Duties. Chips availability for customers and the knowledge he had regarding Ford vehicles was incredible.

Chip was such a kindhearted soul and truly loved what he did. Many of your customers had such a great experience with him that those customers would refer him to their family and friends!

I had exactly the same experience when I took delivery of my truck on October 25, 2024.

Chip was always there when I had a question and always followed through on his promises. May god bless his soul.

Sorry for your, and frankly everyone else's, loss. Someone has to be pretty special to make a car buying experience completely pleasant. He was great to deal with. I'm sure he was a bight spot everywhere he went.

This hits home pretty hard for me. I deeply understand the loss of Chip to his family, coworkers, employers, and customers.
I lost my mother to cancer last year, she sold Ford products for over 30 years in Dearborn MI, started out at the switchboard, then in office work, finally pushed her way into sales before Women had their feet in the door, pioneer wouldn’t be an understatement. I put together an album of her awards, industry articles, handwritten letters of appreciation, and stories of encouragement from other saleswomen that she helped out while they themselves clawed their way into the ring of selling.
As a kid I peddled my bike up to the dealership to see her in the summertime, look at the awards on the wall behind her desk, check out the grease board with the day’s deliveries and her last name leading the rest of the guys by far.
Having her help me with my first new car, then a new lease, after lease, after lease, it got to the point where all I had to do was come in and sign paperwork without even setting foot inside the dealership beforehand.

I’m sorry to derail or take the spotlight off Chip, but when I say I can relate, with tears in my eyes I know who Chip was and what he did.

You were lucky and blessed to know him.

This is truly terrible news but thank you for the update here on the forum.

Chip was without a doubt the best salesman I have every delt with and I have delt with a lot. Regardless of the price of the vehicle he was always great. He was also a genuinely nice guy and a pleasure to speak with and meet in person.

My condolences go out to the Giles family and the Granger family and the Ford buying public too.

Thank you to HDT05 in post #8 as that is a wonderful picture of a wonderful man. Sad day indeed.
