Wait, the STX has a top glove box delete? Didn't know that, or is that something new. Nice truck!
All XL. Why would STX be different?

I prefer the no door.

Got on the throttle yesterday, I can’t believe how hard this V8 pulls for only being 5 liters of displacement. Feels very very similar in power to my aunts new 6.2L GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate actually. Best I can compare it to are those Honda VTEC motors that change out the cam lobe profile, it’s like you pass 4,000 rpm’s and then all of a sudden it throws you back in the seat and you better hang on tight LOL. Lit up the rear wheels from a 30 mph roll, caught me by surprise.

VTEC and Ti-VCT are more or less the same thing. Many cars do this today. It helps with the better performance and better fuel economy instead of trying to get a single cam profile and compromising one or the other… or both. The 5.0’s got this when they rolled out in 2011.

congrats on the new truck, it looks fantastic. I had a 22 STX for 24 hours and then took it back and got an XLT, owned it for 5 weeks and ended up in a lariat that ive had now since September. IMO the STX is the best compromise between having a nicer set of options without blowing your budget. I planned on spending 40k back in august when I bought a truck…

Nice looking truck! Wondering how you have no snow in Buffalo NY? We’re getting beat up in Idaho.
We have had over 100" this season at the airport. It's been pretty mild I think other than the 2 big storms.

Found this interesting playing with the drive modes today. Slippery mode puts it in 4 high, and Deep Snow/Sand puts it in 4 High but also locks the rear axle, the same for mud and ruts. This is cool, but makes me glad I bought this truck brand new, I can see these poor transfer cases getting abused by drivers not paying attention to the mode they left it in lol.

I find it interesting how controversial this color has been. Half the people I’ve showed the truck to say they wouldn’t be caught dead driving it, the other half love it. It’s like a dead even split lol.

Did you get the dual exhaust with the STX and 5.0?

The exhaust comes out the side and is a single exit, the dealer offers a Ford Performance Exhaust for the 5.0 but I didn’t want the add on. The stock exhaust is very quiet at low speeds and very throaty when you get on the throttle, to me that’s a perfect mix. The way to get dual exhaust from the factory on the 5.0 specifically is to get a Tremor or Rattler package.

I bought a 2011 grabber blue mustang brand new and I was talking to a guy in the gym about it, and his response was “it’s not that faggot blue is it?”

People get really weird about colors… and their opinions.

As long as you like it, who cares, other people can choose the color for you when they pay for the truck.
