I am getting the FX4 package and don't like the stickers. I didn't know that was something you could ask the dealer to do.

The dealer installed options I plan
  • Spray-In color matched Bed Liner
  • Rear Wheel Well Liners
  • Retractable Tonneau cover
Very easy to remove the stickers, just get a heat gun on low or a hair dryer. Heat it up a little bit use your fingernail to lift an edge, and pull it off. Use for kind of cleaner, to remove any residue, I think I used windex.

Truck scheduled to arrive in the next two weeks. I'm going to the dealership today to finalize the deal and order/coordinate some accessories. Any other recommendations?

  • Line-x spray box liner
  • Line-x spray rear wheel wells
  • Tint front-side windows to match rear-side windows
  • rustproofing
  • Remove 4x4 stickers
  • PPF full front or partial hood or none? (TBD)
  • Ceramic coating? (TBD)
  • UHD 2-channel dashcam
  • hard tri-fold tonneau cover
  • Bed divider
  • Aeroskin hood deflector
  • Bedrug mat? (TBD)
  • Mongoose OBDII adapter or similar
I won't be doing a lift or leveling or wheels/tires.

Any other crazy must-haves nice-to-haves folks have done that I should consider?
I would do most of that list aftermarket, you'll save a lot by not using dealer.

Not only will the dealer take them off, if you don’t have the FX4 option, they’ll put the stickers on if you want. Easy job for the body shop.

I wouldn't pay someone to remove the stickers. They come off real easy. I removed mine just the other day. Peel a corner up with a finger nail and slowly pull it off, not straight up but along with the body if that makes any sense.

I didn't use a heat gun and there wasn't any residue to speak of. Truck was 7 months old approx and 5,000 miles.

I have the black textured hood deflector too. I'm kind of wishy washy on that. It does provide some protection from chips but as far as deflecting bugs over the windshield...nope.
They do stick really well though so I'm leaving mine alone.

No mudflaps on your list?

Yes, that's one of them that you can get through Ford accessories. I personally like the other, it disconnects at the center and can be stored on the inside of the bed.

hangy down things in front of the rear tires
woah you’re blowing me away with this technical term… not sure I understand what the hangy down thingy is.

while at the dealership I found out my truck is at the destination rail yard in Montreal (2hrs away) - still could be about 2 weeks to get here due to backlog.

When I get it I’ll try to figure out if I can live with the hangy down thingy you speak of!

There's a couple of threads somewhere about them. Some say ford did it for aerodynamic purposes. Who knows.

Look at any picture and you will see attached to the botton corner in front of rear tire and you will see the "hangy" lol plastic part that people will replace with small less noticeable non dangly bits.
