I'm having a brain fart. Hurricane Ian is approaching so I connected my generator to my transfer switch and let the truck idle in case we have a power failure. Everything is good so far but I can't figure out how I'm supposed to lock the doors. The running lights are on and it could attract a thief in the night. The fob doesn't do it, can someone refresh my memory? Thanks

I didn't know that you couldn't lock the door with the Fob on you?

Good luck hunkering down!

You could stuff a towel or cut some cardboard to cover the instrument panel.
And I think you can shut the Sync screen off.

Turn the headlight switch off manually, turn off the sync screen, and take your key out of the vehicle. Clicking the lock button on the fob should do it, but if that doesn’t work, press the bottom 2 buttons on the keypad together and that’ll lock the doors. This should leave the running lights off, the sync screen off, and only the the dashboard screen on.
Also, without the key in the vehicle it can’t be shifted out of park.

And stay safe!

Door handle button should also work, at least I'm pretty sure I did that when tailgating a few months ago.
