So it's an 8' box. Factory spray on bed liner. I'm pretty sure that I remember the pickup truck boxes having somekind of caulk between the floor and walls. Well in this one, I can actually see daylight in between(gaps). Is this normal?

Ok, I think I'll assume it's normal. I know my 2011 Ram 1500 had been caulked and spray lined over it. On the bright side, water wont pool in this box I guess.

Truck beds are made to shed water. They are not one solid piece. I’d say that’s normal.

I think the gaps are normal as mine has it as well. I was a little surprised at first because my old GMC didn’t have any gaps in the bed and no where to drain but two small holes in the front or out the back. I’m actually glad the gaps are there now because the drain holes would get plugged with junk and then water would title wave out of the back of the truck when I pulled out of my driveway!

Yea same with my 2011 ram. I figured I'd ask. Thanks for the reply. Now I know I wasn't the only one wondering.

If I remember, there are drain holes but they have removable caps. My old '11 ram used to hold water in the bed and dump everytime I would take off after rain.

Hosed out dirt and rocks on my 6.5 yesterday for first time. Looks same. Drained out front seam mostly, some on side I think. But tried to force everything out back because stuff got stuck in front seam like grass and rocks. FYI: I have Factory spray in. Factory retractable cover, the box has 2 hoses that drain through the 2 plugs. I was told plugs are for access to some bolts but used for drains too. Also have step.
Also after done I closed tailgate and all this mud drained out bottom onto bumper made a big mess. LOL Not sure how to clean protect inside of gate?

Now, I'm wonder where the front seam drains and if it drains on the chassis....

Yeh now you made me think. lol
There's a 6.5 long foot rectangle of dirt in my driveway ha ha
Just went and Looked up in there.
Seems semi managed, there's sheet metal cross member with lips and drain holes.
There's dirt up in there so I'm assuming some muddy water drained through it.
Looks like it may bypass frame rails, gas tank,
And axle to a point but not quite muffler.
There are some small seam gaps too.
Someone should put a hose in bed and vid the drainage flow underneath.
I'm not worried about it. (San Diego)
Oh yeh uploaded some pics now I can see dirt coming through some of seem gaps some went into rail, looks like drain hose goes straight to top of mount to. hmmm...
