My truck has rear privacy glass so the front two windows look a lot lighter. I took it to a tint shop and decided to put ceramic on the front two windows. The stock tint was 23% on the rears. Should I go with 20 or 30% on the fronts? 20% is not legal. I don’t want it to be too hard to see out of at night but still aesthetic. Thanks.

I went with 30% and am happy with it. A significant amount darker and still ok at night. With my wife’s, I went 20% 2 years ago when I purchased her car as she is mostly a day time driver. Looks better IMO and had no issues until recently when I went to take it for an inspection and it failed because of the tint. Never considered this before so just something to consider. I know I’ll find a place to do it but not the one I regularly use which is a mile from the house.

I went 30. Seems dark enough for me. Still a little difference from the back though.

I don't put anything lighter than 15% on my vehicles. My truck has 5% all around and 50% on the windshield. I love it. I am in Oklahoma so no bs state inspections and cops dont care about tint because almost everyone has it....including the cops haha.

RCSB here with 0 on the rear, 5 on the side windows and 30 on the windshield. I see just fine here in the cloudy PNW, even at night.

I went with 20% on all windows, nothing on windshield. Can get a little dark at night but you get used to it!

I have dealer installed tint on the front windows, of unknown quality/percentage, but it matches the factory rear glass fairly well. I'd assume it's 30%. I had the windshield tinted with 50% ceramic a few days after I picked it up.

Once it warms up a little more, I'll be removing the dealer tint and putting 20% ceramic all around, and possibly tinting the moonroof as well. It gets a bit toasty in Fl during the summer, so the heat rejection is very welcomed.

My tint guy recommend (to even blend) Xpel ceramic 15% on front 2, 55% on back over factory, and 70% on pano.

It's a love/hate because I do like how it looks even
BUT thinking of going to go back and getting 15% all the way around. I think with the big windows letting light in makes it seem lighter than the actual % stats.

Buddy of mine went with 15% all round on his mustang and it looks dark but lot smaller windows and no sunroof.

20% matches factory pretty well, 50% on windshield isn't noticeable except in summer with much cooler inside temps

Went with 25% front, 50% windshield and 50% on glass roof in the MME. Rear windows at 20% are sufficient. The ceramic was a waste of money on it IMO. I've used llumar dyed for 20 years and never had an issue with it. You can pay for more, but not really get more.

I ended up with 30 and love it. If i went 20, I could have issues seeing at night. Maybe things will change when I get diode's LED headlights. But it is perfect even if it is slightly less aesthetically pleasing from the outside.
