Ended up changing the front diff fluid and was able to use the spicer 8.8" diff cover and lublocker gasket. (With a 6" lift)

I'm so glad I did this as the fluid appeared to be a tanish gray color (only 6k mi.) and was under filled. Not sure if water made its way in somehow or what, but the vehicle did sit for 5 months during chip shortage. 2/2021 to 7/2021.

I did NOT use any friction modifier with the FRONT open differential.

I really don't trust the fluids coming from the factory fills. All my fluids in my truck have been changed with the exception of coolant.

So I can confirm the spicer 8.8" rear differ cover works on the 2021 FRONT Diff\Axle for lifted trucks. (mine is a 6" lift)

So I’ve not looked at mine yet. But for stock height trucks how hard is it to get to the front diff for service. I’m thinking I would just suck the fluid out and put new in.
