Ended up changing the front diff fluid and was able to use the spicer 8.8" diff cover and lublocker gasket. (With a 6" lift)

I'm so glad I did this as the fluid appeared to be a tanish gray color (only 6k mi.) and was under filled. Not sure if water made its way in somehow or what, but the vehicle did sit for 5 months during chip shortage. 2/2021 to 7/2021.

I really don't trust the fluids coming from the factory fills. All my fluids in my truck have been changed with the exception of coolant.

So I can confirm the spicer 8.8" rear differ cover works on the 2021 FRONT Diff\Axle for lifted trucks. (mine is a 6" lift)

Rockauto sells these as well if anyone is interested.

I too change out factory fills... More on GP to ensure that manufacturing dust & debris get flushed. My truck is not lifted so I had to purchase a vacuum sucker to empty the front axle. Like yours mine was a dirty and opaque gray (I wouldn't have said tan...) and I really didn't like what I saw, glad I changed it out. :) But mine did have around the correct amount of fluid.

For those without lifts, the Purple Cranium stamped cover with the optional drain plug will fit.

Flat back diff covers are garbage and destroy your fluid.

Didn't see that online but maybe I'm not searching correctly.

Be nice to have drains on both and not have to mess with fluid pumps to pull it out the top.

Not if changed properly. But that trucks long gone. My silver Ram is used as a company demo truck.

Any pic of how that cover looks?
They don't show drain plugs on website.
It's a nut welded to a hole in the cover with a bolt threaded into it and a white plastic sealing washer. It's not pretty, but someone would have to steal my skid plates in order to see it, so I am indifferent. It looks exactly like the regular one except that it has a bolt threaded into the bottom. My best description is "what it would look like if I bought a stamped cover off Amazon, drilled a hole and welded a nut to the hole."

Does the spicer cover fit up front without a lift?

The PPE people specifically refused to sell me their front diff cover after I told them that I wanted to try to shave down the fins and use it on the front. The person (incorrectly) told me that it could interfere with steering and that they didn't want to be liable incase I "couldn't turn left" and caused an accident. I believe that it would rub on the EPs housing, but it wouldn't interfere with steering.....it just wouldn't be possible to wedge the EPS back into place. So to your question, maybe, but after looking into it without the physical parts in hand, my guess is no.
