Got in my truck today and came to find a small insect somehow had gotten inside of my infotainment screen. I can hardly see it, and I’ll have to grab a pic later on, but it’s sitting right behind the light blue strip on the CarPlay/Phone tab on the 12” screen. If I switch to a different tab, I can’t see it anymore, but seeing as I have CarPlay up 99% of the time, I’m always going to see it.
My first question is, how in the hell did a bug get in there seeing as it’s supposed to be sealed.
And 2: would the warranty cover either removal of the insect itself and possible repair of the screen, or would it cover a replacement seeing as its possibly compromised?
Truck only has 4500 miles on it and is garaged and babied (I own a professional detailing business as my full time occupation).
Thanks for the help!
