FordPass problems, connectivity issues

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
I have a 23 King Ranch that the Ford Pass worked a couple days. then seemed to freeze. I added the truck on day one and all seemed well, although the remote functions never worked.

So, I deleted the app on my iphone , re downloaded , logged back in, re-added the truck twice now.
did a factory reset on the truck system , twice.

when I try to activate it still just times out. I never get a pop up on the truck screen.

I am connected to wifi at my house in the truck, carplay works, sync nav works.

when I go to the connectivity screen it shows "not available" and cycles back to the previous screen.

Your TCU is locked up. If you unplug it overnight it should reset. It’s on the back wall behind the passenger seat. Unplug the largest connector closest to the rear passenger door.

just one hiccup. my unit looks a lot different. is it the same device?

edit. looking closer it says right on mine AMP. as I suspected it looks to be part of the audio.
I wonder where they hide the TCU now

Wrong side. Its on the passenger side back wall.

There's a number of 2023s (F150s and Broncos) with this issue, it stems from a glitch with enabling OTA updates. I pulled the TCU power plug then once reconnected I re-added on Fordpass and it started working. Dealer advised an OTA update is on the way to correct this in late January or early February.

I had some issues with Ford Pass once and I ended up calling them 800-336-0486 and they were really helpful and got me going again!! Give them a Shot---

there is only a jack on the pass side. I even pulled up the black "carpet" back there and its not hiding under it

You can pull the upholstery away from the wall.

you guys are great!! thanks!! once I lowered both seats and pulled all the black insulating fabric off I found it.
unplugged the biggest plug and will let it stew for a few hours. if that doesnt work, then overnight

Overnight is strongly recommended. I’ve had to do it twice since I picked my truck up in November. I couldn’t activate FordPass at all. I had to do it again a week or two later. Fingers crossed I haven’t had to since. @Jesse-Infotainment was the guy who helped me out. Figured I’d pay it forward.

I unplugged the two outside connectors, if ones good two is better??
I will re plug tomorrow after a bowl of Lucky Charms and see what heppens !!

No luck. sat unplugged all night. did a restart, reload of the app. no change. tried a ford pass reset in the truck. no change.

I guess next step is a phone call. I really hate to have to involve my dealer for this.
