FordPass 4.18.0 Android

When in Fordpass there is a map tab at the bottom rignt of the screen. In every version of Fordpass since 2021 version 3.17.0 hitting the map tab would show your current location and the vehicle location. This was a great feature to find your truck in a large place such as an airport. Since version 4.12.1 this seems to have been discontinued. I've called Fordpass technical support about this with every update since 4.13.0 the only work around they offer is to click the vehicle tab and tap the location shown at the top of the screen. While this does show the location what good is it if it's not showing up in the maps tab? Today my phone updated Fordpass to 4.18.0 and still nothing!

Does anybody's phone show there trucks location in the map tab?

As a test I side loaded the old 4.12.0 apk on my phone and map location works perfectly. But when you reopen the app it forces update.

Since the old app still works I don't believe it's a problem with the phone but that it's a programming problem caused by Ford's inept app programming team.

Doesn't work for me either. I've never really used that feature, but it still seems dumb that it wouldn't show on the map. I have 2 cars in there, it would be nice to click the map and see where both cars are.

When did you guys download that app in relation to when you received your truck. I have a VIN but my build week is 8/8 so I am a couple of months from getting it. I am hesitant to download it before the truck is built but maybe my caution is unfounded.

I did download mine prior taking possesion of my truck. The only benefit is you are ready when your dealer will help you to activate the modem in your truck. It allow you also one more reason to dream about your truck

Im on version 4.18 using a Samsung Galaxy s9. I have the map option in the widget and location works for me.

I have an s9+ and it only shows cell phone location but not vehicle location on the map. In your shot it only shows vehicle location and not your location. It should show both as it was in 4.12.0

I just looked, and it zoom into my location but no dots showing. My widget show the correct address of my truck where Ford Pass never did, it was close. Trust Ford to fix something but break something else...LOL
