Worked this hard tri-fold tonneau cover into the deal on my truck. Not quite as low profile as I would have liked but the pics on the Ford website make it tough. At least the cover seems heavy duty and super durable. I’ll provide an update after the first heavy rain to see how weatherproof it is.

I went with Tonno Pro. Not bad for $250, it's lightweight and with life time warranty.
I really don't store anything valuable in the back so not worried about someone trying to cut the the cover open.

Are you sure it's installed correctly? It looks like it should be forward a little so that the end of the cover is flush with the tailgate, not above it. Mine is a Revolver rolling style that lies lower on the bedrail than this one.

That would not help keep water out .. I’m pretty sure ..

Yup. That would compound the issue . Dealer installed mine a little too far forward, added the clear weather stripping and it helps somewhat. A box dust sealer kit also works but it’s not great at the top where the tailgate meets the sides. There is a lot of rubbing each time the gate opens and closes

I have had 2 fold up tonneau covers so far. Made by Radco. Radco matte finish diamond to be be exact.

Actually, I've had the roll up soft covers also. But I'm not getting one of those.

So, I am getting my son a tonneau cover.

I'm debating between:
BAK Revolver X4S $1099 installed
Truxedo Sentry CT $1149 installed
Radco Diamond $999 installed

Soooo....the broader debate is.... Hard Folding vs Hard Rollup

The "Hard" Rollup still have a "soft" cover. Whatever. Not a dealbreaker.

Here is why I think I'm leaning toward the Hard Folding.

Less moving parts, less intricacies to break or fall out or stop working. When I see the reviews of hard rollups...I see a lot of parts on the outside that can have issues. Maybe it's not "a lot" --but there are LESS things to have issues with on hard folding.

I have had at least 2 of the Radco Black Diamond. No leaks, nothing broke, no issues. And the top is actually hard. It can't tear. But I do love the look and feel of the Sentry CT. :)

Drawback is that it only opens 2/3 way. The last panel stays covering the bed. Whiiiiiiichhhh....isn't much of a problem, because then entire thing can be removed in 30 seconds and re-installed in 60-90 seconds.

What ya all say?

Go with a hard folding. It folds up all the way, has rods to support it when open and can lay flat open 3/4 with straps and clips to keep it from flipping when driving. No need to remove and reinstall
