Summary: Steeda built a heavily modded F150 to sort of behave like a sports car.

Meh - Buy a sports car if you want a sports car. Buy a truck if you want a truck. (…Or buy both.). From my perspective, this would be both a sub-par truck and a sub-par sports car.

My thoughts exactly.

From the perspective of someone that is 6' 7" and will not fit in any "Sports Car" this is a great looking truck.

The single cab shortbed is under 5,000lbs and that’s in the weight territory of some very high end luxury grand touring two doors.

Even stock, the V8 HP/weight ratio is more than sufficient and the 0-60 times are competitive with early 1980’s supercars. Add the factory supercharger and you have a genuine hot rod with a full warranty!

Roads are so terribly maintained these days that you’re rarely going to be able to enjoy the benefits of the Mustang’s lower CG, improved suspension and higher HP. Which is probably one of the reasons why the Raptor is so popular.

A shortbed 4x4 regular cab with the 4A transfer case and modest drop would be leave very little to desire compared with the Mustang even at stock power levels and I guarantee will get more attention* just because the configuration is so rare nowadays.

*as long as it’s not a white XL.

First time poster on the gen14 forum. Comming from the Ranger5g crowd as Stangman570.

Just picked up my new FX4 single cab 5.0 with 8 miles on the ticker this past Friday. Had a difficult time locating a single cab FX4 and had been looking for months. It's so bad that my normal dealer couldn't or wouldn't locate one for me.

Finally found one three hours away and traded in my built 2019 XLT Sport 4x4 Ranger that I modded myself.

I loved the Ranger off road but I wanted something with a little more pep and towing capacity. I owned several different Stangs in the past with the Coyote and I loved it.

Trust me when I tell ya this is a light and quick truck for being stock. Now I've got to start all over with my mods, but will be well worth it making it my own. I have no plans in lowering it like the rest of the crowd. I'm going with a 3 in suspension kit and jack it up a little. Stay tuned....

See the recent Jimmy Fallon episode with Kareem Abdul Jabbar getting into and driving a Ferrari (maybe his).
