I posted about a suddenly blank center Console screen. The Ford folks that monitor this website responded and sought some info. Then they said they were upping the importance and that I would be contacted by their next level folks. Nothing heard until I received a request to evaluate their service and how they did. I responded and said they had done nothing - nothing yet heard. Then I sent a message back to the folks monitoring this website saying nothing heard yet. Still nothing... Are you Ford folks there?

They are just low level tech support.

they did the same to me !! then they said to go to the ford dealer . the truck is not worth the aggravation

In general Ford Corporation doesn't seem to care about its customers, or the products it builds. If it did, it would have fixes developed before the recall notices go out, and there would be many less recall notices issued. If they find a serious recall issue do they stop production until the issue is resolved? Obviously not. They continue to crank out additional copies of defective vehicles. We as owners deserve more information about what is being done to fix our recalled vehicles , more info than just giving us a possible date for the parts and fix to be available!!That is how involved companies fix their problems.

It’s sad because I’m just old enough to remember good quality customer service. You call the Ford Motor Company now and get someone, a human, on the phone to have a conversation with and they may as well be an AI bot, scripted, uniformed, uncaring, completely powerless to actually help or solve issues, and that’s just the way their overloads want it.

i bought a new 22 F-150 and with the hefty price tag couldn't even get Siirius XM radio, or the navigation package. All I got was a line of B.S. about how they couldn't get the chips to build it....Plus 2nd recall arrived last week. Second quarter of 2024 they say!! B.S.

I suffered similar problems after a sync update at the end of September, I checked the forum to see if others had issues like mine. I found many had issues. I shared my experience and a Ford rep contacted me through this forum asking me to share my VIN through private message which led to scheduling my truck with the dealer’s service dept where the problem was confirmed and bad part replaced.
Bottom line, I have had success and Ford has been responsive.

Since we’re on Ford customer service I’ll share a little story. Daughter & SIL had their 2019 Explorer’s timing chain go and then destroy the engine just past 60,000 warranty. (Confirmed by independent shop & dealer). Have all documentation showing all required maintenance done at the Ford dealership. Oil level up to snuff. Dealer said it’s unheard of at that mileage and to put in a case with Ford. 2 months later Ford says they’ll do the engine for $9,000 but they would also have to pay $2,500 to do a tear down on the trashed engine to find the cause. They decided to dump it and bought another brand and to never buy another Ford product again. They bought the Explorer and a F150 within a year of each other and are never going back. They weren’t looking for a free engine, just some decent help. On a lighter note my 2021 F150 is great other than the max tow axle fiasco and some glitches after the recent so called updates.
