Ford has removed the spare tire as std equipment on the Escape and the Explorer. My sister in law had to purchase the spare as a stand alone option on her 2025 Escape Platinum and Tim Barts from Long McArthur Ford in Kansas just reported that Ford was removing the spare from Explorer's starting with Job 3 builds in March, 25.
Granted this not F-150 related, but with all the deletions that Ford has done to our trucks, it could be possible that moving forward the spare tire becomes an option.
What's next, seats become the comfort package, door handles the access package, the V-6/V-8 becomes the highway merge package because we are putting the 1.5 three cylinder eco boost in all F-150's as a cost saving measure.

Vote with your $$ and buy something else, end the bullshit
If the other manufacturers see Ford getting away with this , others may follow. I'm not worried for myself, my 21 platinum is on the 10 yr plan, providing it lasts that long and when my wife's car goes it's not getting replaced , but this is getting ridiculous.

With how Ford has been operating, they will probably start including the seats and door handles as part of the convenience access package but then charge a monthly fee to activate the door handles.

The 25 Bronco Sports too.

Previously, on the lower trims, you had to buy the tow package but for 25, you have to buy one of the off road packages.

My Wife was set to order one when we found out. Bought one off the lot instead.

Off the top of my head, I believe that a good spare is required to pass a safety inspection in Manitoba. So if I was to buy a new Escape without the spare option, it would fail the safety......What a pile of DOODOO...

Unfortunately this is Ford caving and following others, 40-60% of new vehicles lack a spare tire (depending on the source cited). GM has been omitting them on smaller vehicles since at least 2011 ish. It’s an obnoxious industry trend that manufacturers like to blame on CAFE but (like flimsy plastic transmission pans without drain plugs) conveniently saves them money.

Now, there's a legitimate gripe with Ford.

How or why is the Bronco Sport the absolutely least sporty of the Brincos?

Yeah, that sport is an rebadged POS escape.

Kinda makes sense to get rid of the spare tire. Half the pansies nowadays wouldn’t be able to change a damn tire if their life depended on it.
That trash mini Bronco is what I am being forced to drive as a service loaner now and I have to convince myself daily to no roll it into a ditch to get a replacement loaner. I start my day angry when I see that POS sitting in the driveway!

No love for the Bronco Sport, huh?

The Bad Lands is pretty nice. Comfortable seats and the drive system is quite good.

And it has something I see plenty bemoan about missing on the F150s. Heated steering wheel.

Sync 3 sucks but 25s have 4.

And if you think it isn't capable off road, you're just wrong.

My rolling turd the dealership gave me is a Badlands and I disagree with everything you said other than it has a heated steering wheel.

I told the dealership I wanted something else to drive and they said this is what they use for loaners. It is a death trap and will likely kill me if it crashes or one of the "safety" systems activates again...

It has already tried throwing me through the windshield with its collision avoidance garbage when I touched the brakes behind a car stopping fast. Still not sure how it didn't just cartwheel itself into a forward roll after that unwanted "assistance".

I am glad my hands stay warm during my miserable commute.

Not in Manitoba, and I'm not aware of any jurisdiction that does require a spare for vehicle inspection.

Most of this is 'old news', lots of cars don't come with a spare tire as OE.
