I contacted Ford Support through a chat online yesterday and opened a ticket regarding the need to push the software update to Gen14 trucks with Pro Trailer Back Up, so that we can take advantage of the stickers when calibrating.

Anyone else who has a couple of minutes to do this, I think it would help in getting the software engineers motivated to push that update out.

I'm debating using the harness and sensor which came with the truck, but only until the update is pushed. I want to get out with the Airstream, and there are a couple of campgrounds which I had in mind when I went with the F150 for this feature when selecting a truck.
Started a ticket today. the guy I talked to on the phone didn't have a clue what i was talking about. "stickers??? what stickers ??? LOL

It looks like it will be protected from rain and splashes. But if you look at the right side of the sensor it’s pretty wide open and the connector doesn’t appear to be IP67. I’m not confident submerging it.
Put it in the water and let it break...it's under warranty...maybe they will get busy with the sticker problem if we we can make them start replacing the sensors under warranty.

My F150 came with both the sensor and the stickers. I have the tow package I wonder if that makes the difference.
anyway, I’ve been backing trailers for 45 years without trailer assist so doubt I’ll use it.
if i send you a self addressed paid shopping box will you send me your sensor ??????LOL

Actually, I did a test run without the boat at my local ramp to see if the sensor would get wet. At this particular ramp thought I didn’t take note of the tide, the sensor stayed dry. So, for now it’s good. Taking the bait down to the Keys in 2 weeks so will see how the sensor does at that ramp.

My plan is to attach to my trailer using 3M Dual Lock available from Amazon, Home Depot etc. this stuff works like velcro but interlocks using hard plastic "mushrooms" and is incredibly strong but you *can* attach/detach if needed. Could place a "base" of one half of the tape on each trailer and move the sensor from trailer to trailer as needed (y) or remove from the trailer to avoid leaving the sensor in open-air storage etc.
I was thinking about doing the same thing....let us know how it works. Also does anyone know how visible does the sensor needs to be. I understand the truck camera is not looking at the sensor but mine will behind the propane tanks and not able to be seen from one side of the truck. Can anyone tells if this will matter. I was kinda wanting to put the sensor back more under the camper itself. I understand the up and down part and where it should go. Just wondering ????

I don't believe there is a control relationship between the sensor and camera. You should be fine -- you'll know for sure when you go to calibrate it. Good luck!

I picked up my Lariat Max Tow this week. Got the sensor, but no stickers. I have two trailers, so I'll try the non-permanent sensor install. (Love the truck!!!)

I got the industrial strength 3M Dual Lock Fasteners tape and placed it on my trailer and sensor. Looks like it will work pretty good. OH BY THE WAY A Customer Experience Specialist on the escalated Truck support team. (what ever the hell that is) is suppose to contact me on 3-30-21 by phone and i will report back here what they tell me about the trailer back up stickers. I'm gona burn his ears.......$76000+ for this truck and the damn stickers don't work.....yall hold on. I am one of these people that don't go away very easy. I am going to get answers on the sync 4 and sticker issue !!!!!

Check the glove box, that’s where my stickers were.

My stickers were in the manual pocket sleeve. But as noted they don’t work yet anyway

I'm thinking of 3d Printing a bracket for the sensor, see if that works.

2021 F150 Platinum Powerboost Max Tow Fx4 etc. Built 3/4-5. Delivered 3/17.

The trailer sensor was in a bag in the back seat. No stickers or booklet on towing anywhere I could find. The glove box did have a black nylon case containing a Sup Owners Guide, a Driving Your Truck Supplement, a Sirius XM booklet and a F150 quick reference guide.

What am I missing? What did you guys get?

Jim
