Could be, but that would be a very poor way to operate. You purchase other companies who can provide synergies and make you more efficient across all the companies. Not sharing data like that between FOX, BDS, Zone, etc. would be poor business and a waste of time and money.
I agree with you completely on that one.

Well, either way, that’s really good information.

On a separate note, mergers and acquisitions hardly ever turn out for either party.

Just talked to Fox today and they said they don't have an update on when the 2021 shocks will be ready. He explained that Fox HQ and Ops are moving to their new home in GA, and that the new F150 changes "caught them off guard".

I also asked about the material quality of the 2.5's and he mentioned the steel bodies of the previous gen shocks had a Zinc coating, which didn't due much to alleviate corrosion issues. He also stated that the new shocks they develop will be aluminum body and should not have as many problems. So, maybe they'll be worth the wait.
The previous version fitting thru 2020 models has been confirmed to be a direct fit on the 2021.

'Does it fit' and 'Should I install it on my 2021' are two entirely different questions? It gives me pause when Fox tell someone that the 2021 kit is in development. It has been substantiated that you don't want to use the 2020 ReadyLift or BDS kit, but rather the 2021 kit designed for this truck. If Fox thought the Ford Performance Kit was a direct fit and had the appropriate spring rate and shock tune, they would change that label on the box and go forth.

For the "fox 2.5 fairing worse in your climate due to the build materials", is that from salt being used on the roads or another reason?

I live in the PNW and we don't get enough snow to make that a concern. I'm just more or less curious to understand why the 2.5's are lesser quality and what would make them degrade more quickly.
Yeah that’s what I was told. It’s like some salt based or sodium liquid stuff they try putting on the road some solution. Something like that, I offered to pay up for the 2.5 and leave the 2.0 with them when they rebuilt mine and they said essentially I was better off with the 2.0 something like more aluminum based materials in the build.

Update: So, the ‘Ford’ kit is not the Fox setup. The dealer is using the Rough Country kit for simple leveling jobs. He said he was misinformed by the part department. He did not think they had a Fox setup for the 2021 yet. That jives with what others have stated, even if the 2020 kit does fit.

Ford F-150 Ford Performance factory leveling kit? 80F35C48-2B22-40CF-A828-967434079A04

FYI roush has updated their kit to show 2021...I have a hard time believing the regular fox 2.0 kit won’t work.

I installed the FOX " tuned by ford " suspension this past weekend . Went pretty smooth and happy with the look and performance .

Followed the instruction about 95 percent. the difference was ford states to remove the fox hardware off the struts and use what ford includes instead. The issue with this is the treads only go so far on the ford bolts so instead of installing them face down like ford says to do I installed them facing up . I suspect the threading or the lower control arm itself is different in some way but I had no trouble with the kit.

The ride is improved with better road feel and less " floaty " feeling when turning hitting rolling bumps.

That is quite strange, then I look on their site the same product SKU suggests max 2020 (see image attached)

My dealer offered a leveling kit for $550, no idea what products he was selling. I wasn't interested at the time.

Probably Rough Country or Ready Lift pucks. I ended up with RC and the truck looks fantastic.

I was originally looking at the Fox / Ford setup as that Canadian dealer had a video of it Working, however I decided to go with Ready Lift pucks. Mostly because so many here had done the Ready Lift, but also, if I didnt like it, I wasn’t out a bunch of money.

Not to hijack the thread, but that is a myth. There are many successful corporate mergers/acquisitions, particularly in tech. In my area, which is real estate investment trusts (I teach the graduate finance classes at Johns Hopkins U), there have been many M&A deals, and there are many more successes than failures in this space. Some of the failures were spectacular (GGP buying RSE for example resulted in GGP declaring BK), but most have been solid because the savings associated with combining corporate operations are substantial, and the leasing synergies quite real. SPG, the largest retail REIT, is the result of at least 8 M&A deals, several of which I was personally involved with, including a company where I was a principal - their size allows them to, by definition, generate more operating income per property than is possible for a smaller owner. The same is true for some other property types - bigger is quantifiably better from an net income perspective (hotels, medical, senior housing etc.). Sorry for the thread hijack, but it was on the table. Carry on.
