Ford Pass App icon color changed

For me at least the icon for the Ford Pass App chsnged from a white background to a darker Grey almost black background.

I noticed it the same time I got that weird sync 4a email.

I had an update to Ford Pass yesterday and this is the new Icon on the screen.
App Version 4.25.0-2021064 CAN

After getting the version number, I went to close the app, it now asks me to allow access to photos and media on your device. This is new. I don't remember this before.

Now I am wondering what reason Ford Pass would want access to my photos and media. Are they going to use this info for directing ads to show up while using the app, unless we buy a license to use it?

My Ford Pass doesn't allow that. I can not go on the Canadian site and update my service records. If I wanted to, I have to go to the US site to update the records. Another Ford screw up with the US site so much better than the Canadian site.

Everyone with IOS and this update have functioning zone lighting through the app? I’m getting this and can’t tell if it’s just the app update causing issue.

I remember seeing a video, showing how road side assistance works thru Fordpass, and that you could take pictures to send during the support session. They my also want to use this if you have Ford insurance "Ford insure"

I also don't remember showing recommended tire pressure. My wife's explorer does but the Lariat didn't.

My truck is parked just a few feet away from the RV screen door this morning. (weather is mild, so I slept with screen door weather)

I opened FordPass and went to the zone Lighting feature.
It was "disconnected" for a few seconds and then I clearly heard the CLUNK under the hood of the truck, signaling that the cloud (Mothership) sent a wakeup call.

Then the app showed cellular connection.

Perhaps your truck didn't receive the wakeup command? Either cellular issue or battery SOC?

My app icon changed as well, but I'm also glad I'm not the only one who got the Sync4a upgrade email for my Sync4 truck! I'll just assume this means Ford is sending us all Lightnings!

By the way, the wakeup command dropped the voltage on the truck about .2V

It'll get it back after a few minutes, but a wakeup of the truck is a rather significant draw on the 12V system. A small shock to the system, if you will.

Could be. I hit the power on, and it just scrolls and never hits the truck. I’ll power down phone and check the truck SOC.
