2WD - Only - huh...
On the Ford splash page, there's an FX4:

Ford F-150 Ford Maverick Pickup Officially Revealed w/ Standard Hybrid, 40 MPG, Under $20k MSRP 76580650-72D9-4D56-B5D6-539BFB1F5444

You need to select the 2.0 Ecoboost to see the AWD option, which also comes with an 8 speed automatic transmission instead of a CVT, that comes with the standard engine.

The AWD is available for all trims but I imagine that most seen on lots will be XLT. The price jump is considerable when looking at AWD.

Also, LED headlights are standard for all trims according to the configurator. Too bad it's not even an option for the regular cab F150!

Compared to what though? The 2.0L EcoBoost can tow up to 4,000 pounds, that's pretty good for something shorter than as a 90's Ranger. With the price point of a compact car, 4K is MORE than enough of the target demographic of this truck. This is for people who want a truck but don't need a truck.
I didn’t look at all the various specs with different options but initially read only 2,000 listed. It’s enough to take a small 5x8 trailer to the dump... they say it can pull a small “pop up camper” which yeah would also be in that range.

Honestly it would probably be ok for my typical towing... but I am considering moving up to a trailer around 4,500lbs which should be plenty safe in my F150 rated for 8,500.

i wish the f150 had the truck feature that allows for 2by4 separators in the truck bed, it would make bike owners very happy.

I can see Ford coming out with a ST trim in a year or two.

For the people who are hating on the Maverick, you have to remember that Ford has to play a careful balancing act so as not to severely hurt Ranger sales.

This looks like it’ll be the perfect little truck for city dwellers and based on the price, a great first new vehicle for young and new drivers.

They instantly have the Maverick up on build & price tool, but still don't have the Tremor or Raptor, which were announced last year and are scheduled for summer release. Sheesh what a slap in the face.
My thoughts exactly....

I see no AWD option with the Hybrid power train as a negative. Someone doing light over landing would want the AWD and the Pro Power, which appears to be tied to the Hybrid.
