This is game changing. Ford has published a site where you can find out specific information about a truck by entering its VIN#. RAM has had this for awhile and it is extremely useful. Now you can find a truck configured the same or similar to the one you are thinking about purchasing and see what its exact specifications are.

Here's an example:

Very Cool!!! and long overdue but still great.
Truck is in getting shipped so I got to see my payload which is excellent. My guess was off by 6lbs so all good.

Do you have to have a built truck to get it to work? Imputing my VIN for my truck that’s scheduled to be built on 7 Apr doesn’t seem to be working.

I would think it would need to be built.

Mine is being built on April 19th and it too did not work. I think it only works on trucks already assembled.

Mine is accurate too. Great information to know. I knew I'd be limited to 7000lbs due to only getting the Class IV hitch but wasn't sure what I was capable of with a 5th wheel. Luckily this came out and shows I can up that to 9100 if I ever need more wiggle room. XL Powerboost

Mine is in production, but before the blend date and the calculator works for me.

I ordered my XLT in December when the Ford Trailer Guide showed my configuration could tow 8200 lbs. It had the tow technology package.

A week before its scheduled build the guide was changed showing without the trailer tow package my towing capability was 6000 lbs.

The dealer assured me I could tow 8200lbs with the tow technology package. To be safe I decided to reorder and get the trailer tow package. I needed that extra capability for my trailer.

I have both VINs. Sure enough, according to Fords calculator, my original order with the tow technology package maxes out at 6000lbs. My reordered truck with the trailer tow package, which I picked up on Monday, is rated at 8200lbs

This is excellent. Thanks for sharing. My built and not delivered Lariat 157” 4x4 shows 1855lbs max payload.
