I just bought an FX4 XLT super crew with the 3.5. Wanted a tremor but couldn’t find one around and for the extra cost, I couldn’t justify. Boat hauling and random off-road trail heads to mountain bike trails for me haha.

I agree, I think the Tremor is the best all-arounder. Not as expensive as a Raptor and doesn't have a chin splitter up front that robs it of approach angle. Maybe if there's enough customer demand, Ford will give the Tremor kit more powertrain options to choose from. The two biggest ones I've heard people ask for are the 5.0L Coyote and the 3.5L PowerBoost Hybrid.

It to me looked like they intentionally sent the fx4 up that hill in a way that would not clear the running boards when it would have cleared if he had gone a bit left there.

Many years ago, set up a FJ Cruiser for off-road. It was too nice to beat up in the woods and hills. IMHO, same for the late model Raptor, Tremor and FX4. Just too nice and too expensive to turn into a off-road-rashed beater.

This right here. Hands down the most real comment ever. I’m sorry but unless your dripping in cash, I find it hard to go wheel a 70-90k truck. Hell even my previous “overland” built Tacoma in my eyes was to expensive to just get ripped on the trails. And she was a beast. I bough this thing as a comfy family cruiser to get to MTB trail heads and tie the boat and family. But more power to anyone that wants to wheel these haha. Send pics lol. Same here. I also feel the FX4 should be leveled and have Different tires... IMO
