Zach,
Some quick questions about ESPs and it seems I might more insight after reviewing this thread, but I want to be sure.
I have a 2022 KR PB I bought new from your buddy Tom at Chapman Ford of Horsham with a 96mo/125K PremiumCare plan. I'm now living in FL and currently at 35K miles closing in on the new car warrantly of 36K miles.
I took my truck in for the PCM Recall. The local dealership said my first-day and enhanced rental options on the ESP do not apply to any recall repairs. Is that true? What about warranty issues?
I also had them look at some BlueCruise weaving and some random warning beeping issues which were corrected by IPMA and other module updates. In fact, the truck drives like a dream now and I'm extremely pleased. However, unless I misunderstood, my service advisor told me that I need to have all of those kind of things looked at before the 36K warranty runs out - implying they would NOT be covered under the ESP as it is very limited in what is covered. Really?
I was thinking of the ESP as basically being almost an extension of the bumper-to-bumper new car warranty. Were/are my expections too high?
