I did what you guys said and filled out the survey. I got this a week or two afterwards from my sales guy at the dealership:


Hi Eric
Bro the survey you did for me makes me look so bad
in my 35 years i never had such a bad survey
you remember i worked very hard for you, so please re do the survey and put completely satisfied.
Ford will send you another survey.
Thank you.

I do like this guy and I made sure he was well aware that I didn’t have anything bad to say about him in my survey.
I actually tried to emphasize how nice and helpful he was.
But the problem was with the way this dealership handles their business and the truck that I received.

I guess you guys were right that the survey does equate to some thing but in the end, all I did was make the sales guy, which is actually a pretty cool guy, look bad and I’m sure Ford will continue to make money the way they have been.
I kind of feel bad but if this guy would have even just slightly acknowledged the shitty two-tone paint job and scuffs and gave me the proper tonneau cover as promised, none of this would’ve ever happened. So I guess he technically did it to himself

These surveys are getting out of hand... I had a rental car company rep who wouldn’t finish my transaction until I promised to give them a 5 star rating... problem was I had some real issues with their service experience so most of these surveys turn into a massive gaslighting operation as apparently the salesman wants you to do.

just for shits and giggles I would be interested to know what dealership you are dealing with in the GTA... if you don’t want to post here I get it, no probs, just curious if it’s the one I’m dealing with!! ?

If you were honest in your review, then there's nothing to change. It's not the dealer's fault that ford production management is a shit show right now or that your truck sat in a lot for x days waiting for parts. But it is the dealer's fault if they promised you XYZ and didn't deliver, if they were unresponsive in your questions about the status of your truck, if they were unhelpful with the concerns about your truck when it arrived, etc. Nothing will change unless people complain.

I went back and read your posts and how you tried to get the dealership to fix the scuff and other issues and they said "it's a truck". Well, "it's a survey" would be my response to your sales guy. They shouldn't send out the survey's if they don't want honest answers. Too bad that a sales guy might get a lower commission, he should have pushed to have your issues fixed instead of "LOL bro it's a truck". Just my two cents...

East court Ford in Scarborough. I’m not gonna put out my guy’s name but I will say that he does his job. He’s a nice guy. But he handles the business the way he is trained to so I can’t put him down for that.
Like I said, I made sure he knew that I didn’t say anything negative about him, which is the truth and anything not great that I did put in the survey was all facts without and exaggeration or ill-intent.

As much as I agree with you, one thing that you’re wrong about is that complaints will lead to change.
These guys are making way too much money to make any adjustments because some dirty little peasant like myself has some shit to talk.

I'm actually surprised at how many flocked to Eastcourt this year. Reading all the reviews and concerns with their business practices there are some red flags. My main reason for avoiding them was the # of folks ordering their Lariat from them and I didn't want to get lost in their paperwork.

I've sat on boards that listen to customer surveys and feedback, if enough people complain about the same thing, it's hard for people to say there's nothing wrong. Unfortunately in this case, the parts shortage is a temporary issue so they may not change much now but maybe in the future.

Thanks bud, I’m on the other side, Oakville/ Mississauga, so, big sigh of relief there. This GSM Punit/ Prince fellow sounds like a slimey douchnozzle, the stereotypical car salesman, and why we all have such anxiety going to buy a new car.
