I am wondering if anyone has a review on a good fold up step by the rear bumper to assist getting into the truck bed for a 2024 F150 ?

I got the rough country rear step for F150 on mine. Works great, folds up good enough up underneath for my taste.

So I had the rough country, and it didn’t fit very well on my 24 powerboost. The hardware was cheap, the bracket tree was weak, and the mechanism for the step was cheesy. The step itself hit the hitch and with it being aluminum when it got cold, it was slick as crap.

I had tried the rough country because it was cheaper than the amp research model. I had the Toyota brand step on my Tacoma I had previously. It was an app research model sold by Toyota.

I bought the amp research for my 24 powerboost, replacing the rough country step. It’s been on since about August. Its mechanism is farce superior to the rough country, brackets are thicker and hardware is much better. The step plate is a reinforced polymer.

Install is rather easy, no extra hardware needed, no holes need to be drilled. It is about $100 more than the rough country, but it is, in my opinion, a much better unit.

I have the factory retractable rear step on my 2024 KR PB and it works great.

The step is well made and installed on the rear hitch bar without drilling. Four bolts over the hitch bar to attach the mount and four bolts to attach the step mechanism.

It extends and retracts using just my foot. The step and larger rear bumper step make getting into the bed using the PAT very easy.

I looked at that one, but it’s absolutely worthless when the tailgate is down. For me that’s what I needed. I needed one that was on the corner that I could step on as a easier way to get onto the tailgate

How do you use that step with the tailgate down? That's why I don't like Ford removing the pullout tailgate step from the higher trim levels (KR and up) and make you get a PAT tailgate. I have bad knees and there is no way for me to get in the rear bed with the tailgate down without some kind of step. Once again, Ford not thinking things through and forcing customers into a higher option cost of the PAT. Main reason I ordered my '24 KR so I could still get the pullout tailgate step.

I like the factory rear step. I simply open the PAT, get in, close tailgate door, then use fob to lower entire tailgate. That isn’t an issue for me.

The PAT was standard on the 2024 KR and Platinum, but many chose not to wait and used the delete code to return to the standard tailgate and step. I had the standard tailgate with the tailgate step on the last few F150s. Opening the PAT door and getting in the bed is enough. I haven't needed to lower the tailgate while in the bed.
