Time will tell. Maybe I’m just jaded but after seeing so many EV companies try to startup, it’s a steep cliff to climb to get to be an established manufacturer (innovators call the gap between concept and full-scale manufacturing as the “valley of death”). Tesla has done it, but I think it’s stilltoo early for Rivian or anyone else to claim success. Scout might succeed but their challenge will be establishing themselves into a market that might be starting to saturate (esp as the Big 3 bring 1/2 ton EV’s to market).
Their plant location is a little over an hour from me. That video was pretty but just fluff. The heritage is there but so much time has elapsed that I'm not sure it'll really be a boost over a new brand.
