Finally got around to Airbrushing my Badges and Taillights.
Didn't want the same full Murdered/Blackout on Taillights. Wanted a different look to tone down the Red and kill the red when looking in mirror.
Everything was then cleared with SprayMax2K (2part)Glamour Clear and SprayMax2K Matte Clear in spraycan.......highly recommended.

Very nice! Does the paint affect the BLISS in any way?

Very slick looking truck! Did you disassemble the badges to paint the blue parts? I want to do the same to mine. I want to match the wheel color and it looks like you were able to do that or at least get close. Do you know the paint brand/code?
I also want to get rid of the chrome trim on the headlights but it's inside the clear lens and don't want to bust it apart to do that. Painting over it probably wouldn't look very good either. :( Anyone seen someone modify the chrome trim?

Years back the MK IV GTI guys would do what was coined the "Joey Mod" to their headlights. It involved baking the housings to open them up, then using Glad Press-n-Seal on the reflectors to control overspray as it was the only thing that would not damage the chrome. Once masked off paint the rest of the headlight black or some other color. Then reseal with silicone and reinstall. On halogen lights this would be no issue, but I would be VERY nervous doing this on the LED housings with the sensitive electronics in them...

I've had to disassemble my Audi A3 headlights due to the wires shorting the lights out. It's got 'adaptive' HID Bi-Xenons with ballasts on a motorized reflector housing that moves with the steering angle. Some how the plastic wire covering looks like it was heat damaged and is cracking and flaking off so when bare wires make contact they short out and cause problems. Luckily the system keeps protecting the components vs. frying them.
They have little clips holding the light lens to the housing and then some very sticky gooey seal/tape in between. I managed to pull it apart by removing the clips and prying carefully as the goo stretched until it released all the way around. I was able to do some wire repairs and coat with plastic wire repair stuff like plasti-dip.
All that was on my 2007 beater car, not my 2021 $$$ truck! Not sure I want to experiment pulling the lens off just to paint the chrome trim. At least not yet. LoL! :sneaky:
