Fender Badges - anyone changed theirs?

My Ikonic flag badges are coming loose. The top piece of 3m tape is getting loose but the bottom piece is still on their strong. What are some ideas to reattach it? Just replace the 3m tape? Thanks

That’s another one to the list of people I know with 3M coming loose, were you able to clean the area with isopropyl alcohol or anything to clear debris and dirt inside as well as behind the badge inserts before applying the 3M tape and sticking together? Maybe @RedStorm could chime in. Another alternative method was what I said above; 2-part epoxy glue.

Thanks, I cleaned the area with alcohol before installing. I’ll have to clean it really good again and retry!

Still no issues so far. I had to do some dremel work in the badge space as there was a lot of imperfections when I removed the Lariat badges. I levelled it all out, washed it, and then cleaned again with alcohol. Hopefully we don't see any issues, but I'll keep an eye on it.

I'm wondering if anyone out there has switched out or blacked out their fender badges? Am I the only one who loves the blacked out look of the sport package, and would like to have 0 chrome anywhere on the truck? I know there are how-tos on removing the similar badge on the Super Duty, just hoping for a solution on my '21 Lariat.

Ok, got these on last night. I like the look, build is great. Fitment, stinks!
They are far to big to fit down flush in the pocket like the factory ones. If they just fit the pocket, a 10! But, they dont. So either have to use double sided tape, or go get some 2 part epoxy. Which would work even better, if they fit in the pocket.
So, if they fall off, then I will just get all new painted side vents.

Would I order again......not sure. Look cool...fitment, I rate a 2.

I do not see any issue with fitment in pic. Whats the issue?

Oh trust me, they don't fit in the pocket. That took me awhile to get it to look like they fit. They are too long to fit snug, down in the pocket.

A slight molding modification, would make them perfect.

Same issue. The sides of the new badges are square, but the bottom of the badge pocket is rounded. I took the badges and dremel'd the edges down so they were angled and fit into the pocket better. Made me nervous to do that to brand new badges, but it looked and fit a ton better. Still protrudes out a bit from the pocket, but it still looks really good.

Yup, some slight changes, to where they fit perfectly down in the pockets, he'd be golden. Rather have em a tad small, then oversized.

Well, more work than i expected.

Badge King badges do not compensate for the bevels on the OEM fender badge. Had to dremel the bevels flat.

Used JB plastic weld, not the 3m tape. Dont trust the tape.
