Just when I was saying I love my truck and I can’t easily be intimidated by hiccups, truck decided to be antsy with me!
It drives fine at all gears and speeds but I get a kick that feels it’s coming from my rear end every time the truck leaves from a stop. The first time it happened I thought I was hit from behind.
initially I thought the Auto Hold is causing it so I removed the Auto Hold but it is still the same. Has anyone encountered this? If yes, was there a DIY solution available or it needs to go to the dealer? TIA!

Thank you @tbinmd !
So I disabled Auto Hold and power cycled the truck and now the problem is gone. Is there a point to take it in now when there is nothing to show?

At the time I also disabled auto hold, you can use tow/haul mode to keep the ICE on. The AUX pump is used when the truck is running on battery to keep the fluid moving in the transmission. I didn’t take my truck in until it started throwing a code and an alert message in the ford pass app. Eventually you should be able to recreate after driving just 20 minutes or so.

I spoke too early. I am getting 16 codes.

Even with this issue, I love my truck but hate the Ford service department. I called the dealership I purchased it from( Yorkdale Ford in Toronto) and they say they don’t have a transmission specialist!!! I take it to Yonge and Steeles Ford and they say the truck needs to sit for two weeks and they can’t provide a loner!!

My own personal experience started like yours. The kick feeling , then came the sloppy shifts and then it was taking like 5 seconds to engage in D or R . I took it to the dealer ( yes i agree 10000% percent that ford Service is absolutely abysmal) and about 6 weeks later my new Transmission was installed ready to go . Good luck with your truck mate,

Out of desperation, I reached out to my sales rep and explained the situation. After 30 minutes he called me back and said to drop off the truck at 9am tomorrow morning and pick up a loner. I said but Yorkdale Ford doesn't have a transmission specialist. He said I shouldn't be concerned with that. I hope it doesn't take 6 weeks and I hope it doesn't need a new tranny!

I am also suspicious of the 12V AGM battery. This morning the voltage was below 11.9V. At any rate, I will not be resetting the codes and will wait to see what the dealership has to say.

He said I shouldn't be concerned with that.
He's right, you shouldn't be, it's Ford's problem and they're a Ford dealer. I still would be though, hah. Wonder what their plan is.
Here's hoping it all works out painlessly and speedily for you.

My truck does a similar thing occasionally. When sitting at a red light it’ll bump forward about an inch even with foot on the brake or auto hold. It only does this very intermittently so the dealer has yet to be able to recreate the issue. Guess I gotta buy an extended warranty. 16k on the clock so far
