A buddy of mine asked for my recommendation on a set of aggressive tires for his Ram. I made the usual suggestions (Nitto, BFG, Toyos, etc) and he asked about Falkens. I assumed he meant the Wildpeak AT3W, which is a fine tire in its own right. However, he was asking about a new tire - the Wildpeak R/T. I looked into it and man, does this tire look great. The reviews seem solid as well. It is a hybrid tire by Falken that looks to directly compete with the Nitto Ridge Grappler and the Toyo Open Country R/T (possibly also the new Cooper Discoverer Rugged Terrain, which is also sharp). The tire itself looks much more aggressive than the Wildpeak AT3W. Falken's promotional materials (take that for what its worth) indicate that the road manners are still quite good. Here are some pics and links. If you have any familarity with these, let me know:

They are definitely good looking tires. The one deal breaker for me is that they are not severe snow rated like the AT3W's are. If I didn't live in a snowy climate, I would definitely check them out though.

I think it is weird that these are not available on Discount Tire or Tire Rack.

The R/T is available in certain sizes through Discount Tire and Tire Rack. It's a fairly new product and sometimes it takes a bit of time to input that information on our websites, but we're working in it.
In the mean time, if there's a certain size you are looking for, I will be happy to assist. Feel free to shoot us a DM. We'll check it out for you.

im considering these in 285/55r22 after my Toyo AT3's are gone. A little more aggressive than im looking for but it appears the price is right opposed to the Nitto/Toyo offerings.
Stock is currently available for ordering in that size. I would love to assist with ordering when you are ready.

It's weird. I cannot find any of these tires on the DT site in any size.

Yep. No 3 peak rating so I'm out.

Did you go with these by chance? I just threw on this exact size for my 21 Limited, I'm having the alignment done now. I'm hoping to have my own review of these soon.

Not yet, the AT3's are still going strong although they're cupped and howling pretty good. It's gotten so bad i'm considering dropping down to a 305/45 street tire.
Your review and more pictures may change my mind though.

I drove home, I wasn't sure what exactly to expect but I'd say my Ridge Grapplers were less noisy than these Falken Wildpeak RT-01s. I'm not sure how much difference having the Ridge Grapplers (having 25kmiles) on them compared to brand new Wildpeak RT-01s (having brand new deep lugs) 🤷🏽‍♂️ warrants the sound difference.
I was definitely trying to get a narrower Tire, as I thought the 295 was slightly too wide for my OEM wheel and the inside of the tire was too close to my upper control arms. (I was running a spacer with the 295 Ridge grapplers).

However the 295 width definitely looks more aggressive, the 285/55/22 I have now doesn't look bad but it is definitely not as of aggressive Tire looking from the front or the rear. If you are looking at the side of the truck, I don't see much of a difference aggressive wise, as the wild peak RT does still give that aggressive profile look.

I did have a little shaking in the steering wheel prior to, with my Nitto Ridge Grapplers. They have 25,000 miles on the tires, I'm not sure of the previous owner history. Not sure if he did rotate the tires as required or having alignment every other year to help prevent uneven tire wear. I have already checked the wheel balancing, to see if that was my vibration or steering wheel shaking issue.
Now that I have these Falken wild peak RT tires installed, I still do have a slight shaking of my steering wheel at higher speeds. So I think it's safe to say that it was not the tires, not the Nitto Ridge grappler like I had originally thought. Nor was it the alignment because I just left my local Ford dealership to check alignment. With that being said, now that I have new tires put on the truck, these Falken RTs should last me a good while.

Since I am still experiencing the slight steering wheel shake, this would be the only reason I am second-guessing my purchase. This is my 1st Falken tire experience, we will see how the durability and overall quality holds up as my truck sees very little off-road but wanted the aggressive look.

9-29-23*I am taking my truck back tomorrow to ensure wheels are all properly balanced and road force tested to eliminate my slight steering wheel shake.

Thanks for the comments, they are a good looking tire, just hard to find in stock.
I purchased these through my local Discount Tire in Ft Wayne, IN.
I am returning to the store tomorrow to double check the wheel balancing. I m experiencing a slight steering wheel shake, the driver side front wheel has many wheel weights on it. I am going to see if they can road force test them, hoping they can get them dialed in better. I'm not sure if the tire is out of round or not, I saw them place that wheel on the balancer a few times.
