Wow
I’m somewhat surprised about that and I’m looking forward to hearing it. I did order a 2.7

Has this been cracked on forscan yet? I’ve looked through the ACM on the spreadsheet and haven’t seen it. But I’m also not the smartest..

I read the electric cars will install fake sound but I never thought gas engines would do this. This is nuts!

Isn't it only in the speaker right above your head? In the Bronco Sport, it can be disabled in the options.

My ears aren’t good enough to determine which speaker it’s coming from. Haha

Adding it in the options is the way to go, hopefully they introduce that for all models they pipe noise into.

Anyone confirm this? I know what it sounds like from a test drive a year back but my lariat doesn’t seem to have it. 2.7 for what it’s worth.

I am going to experiment with the fake engine noise on my PB lariat.

The augmented engine note sounds way better to me on the ecoboosts versus the Powerboost.

Anyone with a 3.5 ecoboost lariat or above mind sharing their configuration for
727 01-01 in ACM ?

Changing the following value will turn it off. Lariat and up ecoboost will have a 1 in place of the 0 below from the factory.

ACM
727-01-01 xxxx xxxx 0x

From what I understand it is on every non V8 F-150 and opening the door turns it off. They tested this “open the door and rev the motor trick” on one of the popular YouTube truck channels just not sure which one.

Also It pipes it in weather or not you have the radio on.

Just my 0.02$ but another reason why I went for the V8, you’re not getting tricked into thinking your engine sounds great (which is subjective anyway)

Thanks for this!

I did 727-01-01 xxxx x0xx xx

which worked to turn off the fake engine noise but made my stereo sound not as good. Yours did the trick without messing up the stereo!

Hey there. I have a 2.7 ecoboost and my as-built does not replace a 1 with the 0, but rather a 7. Can you advise why this would be different than what you stated? Also, that particular line in forscan does not have a write button. I'm somewhat of a newbie and am not sure why that is or what that means, or how to write the change. Do I "write all" at the bottom to exact the change?

I should have stated the 3.5 ecoboost will have a 1. The number represent the sound calibration for different engine models for the audio system to “enhance“. Perfectly normal for the 2.7 to have a different default code. Replacing whatever you have with 0 will turn off the sound enhancement.

For writing the code: FORScan will have write buttons for blocks of as-built. If you do not have one immediately adjacent to the line you are changing, there should be one a few lines down. It will write all the lines in the block above. Write All should also work but is unnecessary.
