Great write up on fog lights. I wondered if 302a package was worth getting just for the fog lights. Wasn’t interested in chrome numbers and wheel upgrades. What was cost involved for fog lighting added?

Yea I didn't want chrome bumpers because originally I had planned to color match them so the black would have been easier for the shop to prep but as things came together the black bumpers really grew on me so I've left them. I also had zero use in the painted wheels since I already had the forgestars for it. I literally drove the truck straight home from the dealer and started taking it apart so paying for the higher trim was pointless lol. All in it was just over $500 for everything for the fog lights, a good bit cheaper than the $925 some places charge just to drop ship the shit. Only other hardware you'll need is 6 self tapers to attach the fog light to the bracket. I just grabbed a pack of #10s from AutoZone and they worked fine.Did you need any additional hardware like bolts or clips to mount the actual fogs to the bumper? Or were there bolts holding the covers on the original bumper and you just reused those? I am about to order all this stuff now but stuck to actually enable them because I cant purchase FORscan.
The higher trims use different fog lights. They'll fit no different than the ones I used but they're more expensive and not sure they'd look right with our headlights. Those trucks have different headlights and the LED DRL is made to run in line with those.oh cool, I wasnt sure if the free version was "dumbed" down on not. I noticed the higher trims have LED foglights, im assuming we cant use those?
Hi,I just picked up 24 f150 xl 4x4.i wanted to add fog lights,is there a dummy plugs already there,or what exactly did you do.i see the parts list.thanksSo after some digging around and some guess work finally tracked down all the needed parts for adding fog lights to my 24 RCSB. Ordered most the stuff from Tasca but they didn't have the harness so ended up getting that from Levittown but both places are great to deal with and their prices are pretty close with an edge to Tasca. There is a guy that sells everything as a "kit" if you wanted to do it that way but I saved $400 sourcing the parts myself so I'd say it was worth it lol.
Overall everything was super easy to install and only took about an hour to knock out. I didn't take any pics because I had somewhere to be and was in a hurry but I'll go back out this weekend and take some pics and do a little write up on the install.
Anyway, here's the part numbers to save anyone interested some time ....
RL3Z-15K867-W (Harness)
RL3Z-15266-B (Bracket)
RL3Z-15266-A (Bracket)
RL3Z-15A245-BA (Bezel)
RL3Z-15A246-BA (Bezel)
RL3Z-15200-C (Fog light, order 2 they're the same for driver and passenger side)
SW8793 (Headlight switch)
I was really wanting to know how to remove the cutouts for the fog lights? The switch turns them on and off but I'm not sure if they default to on or if it's dependant on the last position it was on (ie if I had them off the last time I drove the truck will they be off when I start the truck the next time). I like the look of the front end when it's just the marker lights and fogs so that's why I set them to fog and drl in Forscan but even though it's set that way in Forscan I can run the drls and turn off fogs with the switch. Nice to have the option without having to get the laptop out.
No, I didn't remove the bumper but I did take off the plastic section on either side (marked below) to make it easier to remove/install the harness. There's a couple of those Xmas tree style clips in there that are easier to get at from the front than from the back. You'll need to remove the active air dam to get at the bracket (3 13mm bolts on each side), remove old bracket, remove old harness, then just reverse. Install new harness first (easier to do without fog light bracket installed), then install bracket/lights, and reinstall active air dam. And heads up, the connectors for the air dam are different so make sure you double check the connectors on the new harness so you run them the right way. I unhooked the left side and grabbed the harness assuming both ended were the same and gave myself a minor heart attack because I grabbed the pass side one on the new harness and they didn't match lol.
The plastic fill panels are held in with 4 screws, you remove those and the brackets bolt in their place. The parts I listed in my first post are everything you need, it's a fairly easy swap. You just remove the old stuff and put the new stuff back in it's place.I was really wanting to know how to remove the cutouts for the fog lights?
Thank you,so is there a plug under there already to plug the lights into already.where I get confused is,I had to buy a tail light harness along with the OEM bed lights along with jumper harness.because, there were no dummy plugs on the truck. The plastic fill panels are held in with 4 screws, you remove those and the brackets bolt in their place. The harness on our truck goes from the main connection and snakes through the front bumper just to each end of the active air dam with no other leads. The harness I listed relaces that one with one with the leads for the fogs. Order the parts I listed and you're good to go. Then you just have to activate them in the module through Forscan.Thank you,so is there a plug under there already to plug the lights into already.where I get confused is,I had to buy a tail light harness along with the OEM bed lights along with jumper harness.because, there were no dummy plugs on the truck.
