I'm having a hard time wanting to place another order in hopes i get a complete kit or what i need

Well, you removed coating from part so you'll have to buy another kit to get what is missing or eat the cost of buying the missing brackets. It would almost be worth it to buy the individual parts as many were doing before this kit arrived. Then it should be boxed separately and undamaged.

Ford Performance website shows plastic in black. I admit I do like this look, but the silver doesn't look bad either. Now I'm wondering if I need red tow hooks for my rapid red truck.

what part with the coating...that was one of the parts missing haha
but yeah at this point thats what the mrs is telling me to do. just buy what i need and move one. sadly it negates the savings from the promo code...but probably be a lot less of a headache b/c dealing with Ford Acc has been by far the ABSOLUTE worst company to deal with.

Again, if anyone here has connections with Ford Parts, please let me know! trying to save as much as possible on these damn brackets

I've got red to install when I do the plate. Keep in mind it's only black primer so I wouldn't install it as-is. You still need to do something to it. I put one coat of silver before I found all of the mold flashing so I went to town with a box cutter for the flash and the 5" sander w/ 400 grit mesh to remove any sharp edges since paint doesn't like to stick to sharp plastic edges. After that I went with the behr metallic titanium spray paint. I've since tried to rip the paint off w/ blue painters tape to make sure it was adhered. Stuck to both the metal and the plastic.

That's just a silver metallic vinyl piece on the gloss black grille. Will have to see how it looks once assembled. Considering silvering or gloss blacking the the bumper plastic parts that come in the kit.

I didn't think it was primer I thought it was bare plastic. Not sure how well rattle can paint will hold up over time but I guess I can try it.

Box looks in good shape from the two cameras. I don't think that means anything from the posts I've seen here.

I once had a box of ethernet cable (1kft) show up in an unusually large box and it was just wads and wads of loose cable pieces stuffed into it. Heavy duty stuff, essentially coax stainless braided wire wrapped around a shielded ethernet. Turns out when shipped there was a little piece hanging out of the reel-box that got caught in their conveyor system and completely took down / broke it as it got tangled up in it. They were kind enough to put the remnants of the pieces into a box as they cut them out of the conveyor system trying to get it functioning again, forwarding the remnants to me. The entire 1kft spool had got tangled inside of the conveyor system.

Every time I get a box missing a piece / w/ a hole in it, while still unhappy, I remember the time one of my packages fought back and won.

Rattle can good for paint match. Painting is all in prep and finish. You can get better than factory results from cans, again prep and finish. This silver metallic is a PITA going on a black primer. If I could send myself a note 2 weeks ago it'd been to gray primer it first. Needs quite a few coats to hide the black. Still got a wet sand and clear to go on the upper trim piece. I can usually get goodnuff results w/ a clear without going for another sanding and polishing. If I did that it'd be a better finish than the truck's as I haven't yet polished it yet. Not sure I want to go w/ mirror finish on the aluminum body, the aluminum's flaws will be shown. Factory orange peel hides such flaws so I probably won't cut the factory paint that hard, let alone wet sand it.

Current rattle can formulations are pretty damn good. Just because most people halfass rattle cans doesn't mean it's the product. Just need good lighting and technique. Chase the wet so the overspray lands on wet paint for a good finish. Over do it and it runs. If part is cold hit it with a heat gun. Don't go too hot else you'll start going matte. Watch some technique vids, but still this metallic is big PITA. Can't use color change to gauge the application, need light to see how wet it is. Watch some YT vids on technique, certainly can't get it from a post.
