Here is a video of a PowerBoost Lariat F-150 reversing into a parking spot. I was told the PowerBoost models make this reverse alert sound because the vehicle can move without the gasoline engine being on and making noise.

Makes sense when you consider these vehicles will be at construction / job sites. It's a liability for them to be quiet like that

Good point. It’s also interesting that it sounded like it was coming from the engine compartment and not somewhere else on the truck.

Very nice indeed and I’m glad it’s not the usual/normal sound one would here as some commercial trucks are backing up.

That was pleasant. I have kids, so I'm pretty stocked (and I know my wife will be).

Reminds me of cutting off the engine on my Harley when I entered my neighborhood way too late when I was younger...
Not necessarily on a motorcycle, but I know what you’re talking about. Just a top tip for others, you will eventually loose your power steering and power brakes while rolling in so be ready for that!

Can this beeping feature be turned off?
The speaker is easy to find. Driver's side just behind bumper/radiator looking up from underneath. I imagine unplugging it will cause some error since they probably don't want you unplugging them.

A liability thing for sure.
