F-150 Order Bank and Production Update - 7/31/21

If it goes into production this month or September you should have a VIN at this point.

My delivery status eta changed for the 3rd time, it went from August 9th to Aug 2nd & now to Aug 7th. They say there Transportation issues, not enough drivers…

Order: 9898
Has been in-production since JANUARY.

The dealer claims they spoke to Ford and Ford is going to make it "Hot" and they'll have an update for me tomorrow.

Should I just ask for my money back and re-order?

Yeah, I've tracked all of that. It has the dreaded Oct. 31st date but it says that it is "in-production" which I've been told means it's built, sitting in a lot somewhere waiting on a chip. The dealer has told me that Ford has made it "hot" and should have an update tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath.

Based on today's update should I continue to wait or get the deposit back from the dealer and re-order?

From what I’ve been reading on this site, if you order now it will be a 2022.
I would ask the dealer about an ETA on a new order, make sure it’s a retail (custom order not stock. I don’t think the auto industry will turn around until the end of this year or the first quarter of 2022, that’s just my opinion

Literally no one with official knowledge has said that here. In fact, 2022 orders don't open until September and 2022s most likely won't see dealer lots until next calendar year.

Just wanting to clarify, on the subject of Raptors, when you’re talking about allocation and “next month”, did you mean August or September.

I’ve been kind of operating under the notion that if I’m not scheduled by the end of August, just ask my dealer to put me at the front of the line for a 2022.

I was on a call and heard for the southeast there are something like 20 loads per 1 driver.
I don’t know where all the workers went...
