We just got our first look at the Ford F-150 Lighting pickup running undisguised on public roads. The truck is in the XLT trim, and showcases its tailgate with out the full-width tail-light treatment.
What do you mean? They removed the engine, exhaust system, multi-speed transmission and gas tank. They replaced those with two motors, battery, and a one-speed transmission. Everything else was always electric.Outside of the obvious, does anyone have any idea what else has gone totally electric on the new Lightning compared to the ICE or Hybrid F150.
I'd think the brakes would be commensurate with the weight and towing capabilities of the truck. The Lightning is about 700 pounds heavier than the PowerBoost, though it has a lower towing rating (10,000 vs. 13,000 pounds). Thanks for the info.
I wonder if the Lariat or Platinum will get the same huge front rotors that I’ve heard are coming on the Mach E GT
