Does this mean any new ones built are automatically getting that Active Prep package? Or only if you specified it in the order?

Specified. Trucks shipped, but didn't have the functionality until now.

This is great info! Thanks @Administrator!

My take away from last report, production by plant, is that Ford had a strong month last month making F-150s. Back to pre-chip shortage levels of Jan-Mar. As long as they maintain a steady supply chain, they are poised to keep cranking them trucks out. Fingers crossed we will start getting our trucks soon and production dates will stop slipping.

However, I’ve seen the reports of more chip shortages lately so we will see if that’s true or not.

2021 F-150 Job#1 - If you eventually wanted self drive (Blue Cruise) you ordered the Co-Pilot360 Active Prep 2.0 package ($995) knowing later in the year you would be paying a $600 subscription charge to enable the Blue Cruise S/W when it shipped.

Starting with Job#2 (in June) the Active Prep Pkg includes the S/W and is priced $1595. You already paid for the subscription, just waiting for it to ship.

So all they're saying is, it's a h/w & s/w option pkg with one price now, versus a two-step process.

If you don't want it, you don't pay the $1595 and you don't get it (and it can NOT be retro-fitted after sale).

As far as I know the actual BC S/W is still in invitation beta right now, and has NOT rolled out to general public.

Personally, I believe they ended up making it confusing and complicated with Job#1 orders from the beginning, as they have it set up (the s/w) as a subscription deal, so it is different T&Cs. But there weren't sure it was on track to ship "later in 2021", and there may be issues with charging for a product that doesn't ship in the same "tax" year.

It would have been clearer because of the other packages (360 Cam, Active Park, Lane Centering, Adaptive Cruise), if it would have sold and shipped from the beginning as just "Blue Cruise" for $1595.

Bet these numbers go up now that Cybertruck has been delayed? Ford has a production advantage if they can just get the batteries and chips.
