Truck
I’m curious if some people will claim the scale is off on the new feature on the truck payload. I see the benefit if u got a truck of guys or girls and u got a lot of gear or stuff in the truck bed or towing.
I see enough regular sedans loaded to full capacity with stuff or people to know this feature may save some truck suspensions.
only downside to getting max payload and towing requires a regular cab with a 8ft bed f150 model.

I won't cancel my order just for this but maybe would have added if it was available.

"Onboard Scales with Smart Hitch is $650. The new Continuously Controlled Damping feature is $695."
that's a no brainer price for the smart hitch. I'm all in. Cost over 10years is only 65$/year. sign me up!

So If u are at 101% of payload will LED on taillight keep blinking. Will ford know and void warranty? Can you still put the truck in drive? If yes will it keep bugging you that its "over loaded"? So many questions. I wouldn't want this.

So Job #2 for MY 2021 (any f-150 built from 7/6/21) is the ability to select Tremor, Raptor and now these towing features.

I wonder if it also includes "bug" fixes for other production issues that we would benefit from being late for.

It does raise serious questions about what data Ford will know.

I have a 2021 F-150 and I’m mad they still haven’t updated our software to be able to take a trailer rear view camera and trailer TPMS like it was supposed to.

A little ambitious of Ford to be changing things up like this mid-model year. Especially given how difficult it has been for them to even produce trucks this year...

Anyone know/speculate the underlying tech and manufacturers? For both the weight (scales) tech and the suspension damping.

Of course they did...a day after my dealer texted me to let me know that my truck was just built.

Unless this came as part of a package that I wanted, I am not sure I would have ponied up the extra cash for it. It's neat, but I have been towing things for a very long time without any issues. If anything, it will give false confidence to folks who never tow anything, which could be a real cluster.

I ordered my truck knowing full-well that Ford was going to make updates and, likely, launch some new tech/options for 2022. 2021 owners are guinea pigs and I am fine with that, I'm happy to have my truck and nothing new is going to tarnish that.

It is a little funny that it asks the weight of the passengers. Just add to the pretrip to have everyone climb in the bed to get weighed. You'd think it would be able to know if there was any weight added to the truck. LOL

Was looking at the order guide and the Smart hitch scale also requires co-pilot360 and max tow packages as a prerequisite.

Since didn’t really have a need for max tow to start with there was no way I would’ve gotten this anyway.

It's not clear to me whether the smart suspension would work when in Normal driving mode to smooth out the ride.
