Escort Max360 and Max360c Laser False Alert

I picked up my 2021 F150 Platinum a couple of days ago and love it. I installed my radar detector, Escort Max360 and a second Max360c, in my truck and every 30 seconds or so I get a Laser alert. This happens whether driving, radar cruise, sitting in my garage even. Has anyone run across this? Have you found an install location that eliminates the issue? I don't see a lot here or on Escort's forums about our trucks but it does seem like it does happen in some vehicles.

Just looking for insights.

I don’t have an answer, but I have this same radar detector. I didn’t realize that the ‘21 F-150’s deleted the cigarette lighter up front. How did you wire yours? I saw instructions of someone direct wiring into the rear view mirror. Is that what you did?

Yeah wire tap from Amazon. Was like 10 bucks

I am having the exact same issue with my Escort 9500ix. I didn’t have any issues with my 2017 Platinum, so it must be some of the new face/eye tracking gadgets in the new F150. I have not been able to find any info. either, so my solution was to disable the laser option in the detector

The Max360 radar has a firmware update, it fixes the problem. Mine was doing the same thing, whether it was in my 2016 F150, or CTS-V.

There are sensors in the interior that are blasting IR and/or laser in the cab. You can see an example of this in the video linked below. When he has the camera pointed at the infotainment screen you can see that it is picking up IR light from above the top right of the screen. I don't think that's the only emitter in the cab, but that could also depend on the trim.

There's a good chance that, that system of emitters is setting of the laser warning. I remember my valentine one used to alert on laser when the tiny laser rangefinder(s) on the front of a smartphone hit the sensor just right.

Actually on the Escort, false laser alerts are triggered due to iPhones and some androids. It’s been a known problem for a while!
