How are you getting emails updates about your order?

I and a number of others here are not. We've either not been entered into the Ford system correctly, or the Ford system didn't "take" our emails.

I've seen posters from the 3 big long distance dealers (Koons, Granger, and Chapman) post that they have not received emails, while others from them have. So it's not necessarily a dealer thing.

I’ve ordered from Akins Ford just outside of Atlanta because they are a top 10 volume dealer, plus I’m going to have them customize a few things that none of my local dealers can do here in Jacksonville, FL. They are telling me that Ford is not sending out emails and they just have to keep checking on the order to get a status. But I keep seeing people post about receiving an email update so that’s why I asked. Guess I’ll keep bugging my salesman every other week or so…

My order was placed the first day Ford opened the order banks for the 22 model f150s which I think was Sept 30th ?
I haven't had one email from Ford motor company since order was placed so I went to my dealer 12/20 and added Adaptive steering opt. to my Platinum . The top ordering guy at my dealer had actually heard about the adaptive steering issue. We'll see if it works........... stand by

As you noted, from the posts on here of people getting emails form Ford, and recently too, I would say your dealer may not know what they are talking about in regards to emails not coming from Ford anymore.

My salesman was actually surprised that I had received emails related to my order (order confirmation, and then scheduling week). When I placed the order, he said I may or may not receive communication from Ford, but knew nothing about what would cause it to go either way.

I just placed my order with my local guy yesterday.

At 11:08a he sent me an email saying he was able to pull up all my info in their system (we've bought from them before) and he just needed to send the order to Ford.

At 11:40a I received an order confirmation email directly from Ford.

So no, Ford has not stopped sending emails out.

At 11:40a I received an order confirmation email directly from Ford.

So no, Ford has not stopped sending emails out.

JPNweln , Do you mind sharing which dealer you placed your order with ? I placed my ordered at Duval Ford back in Sept in the commercial sales or fleet dept. I have not received the first email from FoMoCo. I have ordered quite a few trucks from them over the years. My sales rep has no ideal why.

I ordered from Coggin 12/1 and got my VIN 12/2 with 1/31 build week. Lariat PB. How's Duval to work with?

JaxCaptain I have no problems with the dealership and actually have several close friends that have been there for years that stir with a big stick. But with that being said I'm certainly not getting any communication directly from FoMoCo. Like I said in previous post I was there yesterday and added adaptive steering hopefully it will help. IDK

The only reason you would not get an email from Ford on your order confirmation and beyond that is if your dealer has entered a wrong email address for you into WBDOS and COVP. Ask me how i know. I’ve called the dealer to verify my email and in fact it was incorrect. Unfortunately, once it was entered incorrectly into their systems in the first place, they have no way to update it. You then have to call COVP yourself and have them update it. And still there are no guarantees on getting emails after corrections have been made. Lesson learned, have the dealer read your email back to you and stress that they enter it into their systems correctly.

I tried to do business with Duval but couldn’t work things out on price. Ended up ordering from Akins Ford in Atlanta. I want to customize my truck and they have their own shop to do it.

JPNewln I actually reach out to Akins Ford in Winder before I ordered from Duval Ford. I follow Real Deal Neil on YouTube and they produce some of the sweetest trucks on the road.
But I knew exactly how I want my new truck to end up and I figured I could do the same myself. I have gotten a ton of good ideals from them. I feel like I have some good support from my guys at Duval.
We'll see !!
