ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Spent all day today getting my old job 1 2021 up to date and all went very smoothly though I do have 2 concerns. My PSCM is listed as "not responding" in FDRS now and I still don't have the bed camera sidecard. Any hints or tips on how to fix these 2 issues?

Decided to give my truck a go with the mongoose to update the APIM. Everything goes smoothly until FDRS tries to download the file and I get the error: “Unable to obtain software binary file: MU5T-14H212-BEH Would you like to retry?”
Any suggestions? FDRS is showing green for a connection to Ford.

Never mind, somehow got it to download everything on the 5th try haha. Not sure what was different. About to insert the USB flash drive into my truck and see if I can get all those sweet Sync updates. Wish me luck.

Recently purchased a 21 Powerboost Platinum with 30K miles. Already discovered I'm stuck in OTA purgatory with no updates likely since new. 1st drive at nite yesterday and I noticed my inst cluster dimmer does not work in any of the headlight modes. It only works with the light switch turned off. As soon as I rotate the headlight switch to any of the on positions, the instrument cluster starts dimming to the lowest setting. If I try using the dimmer switch located next to the steering wheel, the dim setting remains stuck in the lowest setting. Also, my Ambient light utility is missing from my screen, not sure if these are related but hoping someone else had this issue and figured out a solution? VIN# 1FTFW1ED2MFB86637

The Ford servers are often down for maintenance/upgrades on Sundays. I would avoid doing any FDRS stuff on Sundays in the future.

Now that you say it, a couple weeks ago Windows installed this new Microsoft Defender:

I'll disable it tomorrow and see if that changes anything.

Hey, any luck with your CRM update yet? I'm currently running into the exact same problem. I cleared the FDRS cache and made sure the correct file was downloaded, but still fails every time.

Not at all. @antho even came over and tried some voodoo but we got the same result. @Jesse-Infotainment said it was asking for the wrong level security key. Not sweating it until (if) BC 1.2 comes out, but if you are having the same problem this might be a bigger issue.

Dimmer Problem solved. Downloaded my factory "as built" data from here https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt/Details and went thru each line of BdyCM code using forscan. Found several lines of code which didn't match. Made the edits and voila, dimmer works now.

Got my truck all updated now minus the CRM. Same issues with security key. About to go try out Bluecruise

I know that FDRS tells you to turn the truck off after you've done an update. Some modules aren't on only in accessory mode. If you want to check your DTCs and then clear and retest, make sure your truck is fully on for that. So all the modules will respond.
