Has anyone had any issues with the BCMC update? It just keeps failing with an error of "NRC 22
(conditionsNotCorrect) Unable to execute diagnostic service 0x31. Check all cable connections and ensure the ignition is switched on). I have the battery on a maintainer and it is holding steady at 14V. All of my other updates I have managed to get to go through, but this one just wont seem to work. There is still progress moving forward in the background for block erase etc. Should I just let that run with the error still up and see what happens?

Try restarting the laptop.

Try restarting the laptop.
Restarted it and it failed again. But then I just clicked no when asked if I wanted to retry and then re ran the update and this time it went through successfully. Thanks for the help!

Does anyone know how to adjust the auto-brightness settings for the APIM screen by chance? On 24127 it randomly decides to go to minimum brightness for a few seconds at least 4-5 times per 30 minutes of driving during the day and it’s incredibly annoying

I have mine set to night and not auto. Don't notice any change in brightness. Found it easier to look at during the day as well.

Working on a IPC update now..can’t believe this going to take 3 hours. Not sure I understand how ford thinks this could ever go OTA. also wonder how much data are they changing to make it take this long.

Night Mode all the way.
From the first time it was discovered to be more stable than day mode.
Heard there, the only thing I don't like about night mode is that it locks Apple Maps in CarPlay to dark as well. But I'll test it to see if I still have the same brightness issue in that mode. Something in the software must've changed because the light sensor on the dash is basically useless now

It takes that long via FDRS because it's transferring via the canbus which is painfully slow by today's standards. If updated via OTA, I believe it transfers over the vehicle ethernet network taking a fraction of the time.

If you forgot to buy beer before starting a CAN IPC update, you are in for a bad time because you now cannot go buy beer and have to patiently sit there watching and waiting for your truck to come back online while you think about the beer you forgot to buy...

Lucky you. The two old IPC updates I had to do took 6 hours each.

Does using fordpass or keyfob remote start have any effect on deploying the APIM update via USB? Going on 2 ish weeks here with my flash drive plugged in and still nada, truck does still recognize the USB drive as I can see the message and it listed as an audio source whenever I get in the truck, praying my update kicks in here soon.

Nothing you can do but be patient.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered before but do the FDRS updates and OTA follow the same release cycle ... meaning if my truck doesn't show any OTA updates, will FDRS make a difference? I'm debating on getting another FDRS subscription since there's an APIM update (1286) I've seen floating round but the PTS/Motorcraft site showed no updates available for my vehicle. I'm on 1270 now.
