Hey Everyone,

I will use this thread to document the build, but wanted to kick it off hoping for some advice. I want to do the following and not sure where I should get the stuff done.

Front Tints: dealership said $250 for reg, $800 for ceramic. I'm on NE Ohio, so heat isn't a concern for me.

Wheel well liners: dealership said $299

Leveling kit: dealership says blocks $1100

Airbags: dealership says $1250

Undercoat: should I have the dealer do? I am concerned about rust due to my region

Spray in bed liner: Linex $700

Tonnaeu cover: backflip mx4? $1000 (install myself)

Tires: dealership recommended Mickey Thompsons when I said I want something a little more aggressive looking, but not loud??? I currently run K02 on my Tacoma and its so loud in the cab. I am really torn on what to do here.

I am on the fence with skipping the leveling blocks and get teraflex falcons or real suspension, but I also am really concerned with sagging while towing.

I should be good to go in and pick it up tomorrow, but will leave it there if you guys say getting it undercoated there is the best decision. Any other things you recommend for me to do upon pick up/inspection?

Nice truck,
Just to tint the front two doors should be like 50-60 bucks at a local tint guy.
Wheel well liners are about 160 from fairway ford online.
mx4 I got shipped to my house in Pittsburgh for 750 and installed in less then half hour.

Get nothing at the dealership....

I got every window in my truck including moon roof and windshield for around $800
And it's the best ceramic tint they had..
Wheel well liners take 5 minutes each to install yourself..
With a powerboost I expect it's not going to be very loud, I'm running dual flowmasters on
my 5.0 and sounds great and not too loud..
Don't let dealer do any of it.

cool, thanks for the help guys. i had all the stuff on my tacoma done third party but most was stereo, tires, etc.

i thought maybe the dealership doing undercoat and level might help with warranty. how should i handle undercoat/rust protection?

i can for sure install the well liners myself.

what are you saying is going to be loud? cabin noise from tires?

No, what I was saying is the ecoboost engine won't be that loud..
Not as loud as a V8 so probably can go with a more aggressive muffler.
Enjoy that truck.

Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 AT’s have good reviews and most say they are really quiet for an AT tire.

i was reading people suggest simply painting the rear axle area to prevent rust.

I saw a thread talking about an oil you can spray it all down with.
Thinking that was the gist of it.
