Driving forward unexpectedly

I just read a news story about a bunch of fomoco vehicles from '24 to '25 that may have an incorrectly machined valvebody that can cause unexpected forward motion while in neutral or reverse. 2024 and 2025 f150's are mentioned. Anybody else hear about this?

Oh, good. Much less than I would have thought. How does one tell exactly what day their vehicle was made? There's a chance that mine could actually be affected, though I seriously doubt it just because of how few there are. Can you tell from the window sticker?

Yes, your window sticker would have the actual build date on it. You’d be better off checking your VIN on Ford or NHTSA website to see if it’s affected.

Welp mine was built the second week in January in Kansas City, but thankfully not showing any recalls on the NHTSA website. I'll have to keep checking back to see if it updates.

Someone had said if you go on Ford parts site and plug in your vehicle, and click something like spark plugs, it will show your build date. I did that when I saw this posted I think Friday evening, and my truck was built in Kansas City December 2nd 2024 lol. Right smack dab in the middle of that run of affected trucks. But I have not seen my VIN listed yet. Hopefully I'm not affected.

Very top of the page just left of center, circled in the photo. I don’t think its included on the physical window sticker that comes on the truck if that’s what you’re looking at.

Ok, so mine was built 10-30-24. That's interesting, as the door sticker says it was built in November.
