Was contacted by the sale manager at a dealership who said 2021s can be ordered until 9/30, but 10/1 orders will be for 2022 MY. Also said could lock in the 0/72 and $1000 build incentive.

Is this true?

So I placed an order for Velocity Blue truck with the expectation that it won't even be ready and delivered for 6 months.

Wish me luck.

I don’t understand how about half the people on the forum are being told that 0 for 72 can’t be locked in at order time and the other half are claiming exactly the opposite, locking in 0/72 right now. Not sure who to believe. Even Zach from Granger mentioned recently that 0/72 can’t be locked in and i trust folks at Granger.

I was told I couldn't because it's only good for 30 days and it's not likely that the truck would be delivered in that timeframe so there is no point in running a credit check right now to qualify. Not sure if that's a possible reason or not?

Hmmm. I wasn't asked for a deposit either.

First time ordering so I'm skeptical. Salesman didn't ask for a deposit so what the heck.

I have no clue. All I do know is I ordered 09/01/21 because of the $1500 rebate for ordering, and the 72 mth, 0% financing, coupled with my A-Plan. When my truck is delivered, if it doesn't include 72 mth, 0% financing, the dealer will have another truck to put in his stock.

Heck, maybe that's what he wants anyway.

Interesting thinking. Why not overpromise the customer, and if he backs out it’s still a win-win. They will sell the same truck with a dealer mark-up on msrp. I sure hope that doesn’t happen and you will get your 0% somehow.

My thoughts now. Lol.

I've been assured the dealer and sales staff will do right by me so....
