I have tried using the 'Eco' mode on my truck and it feels like it lost about 350hp. Step on the gas and it feels like mush. Does anyone feel the same?

I tried it for the throttle dampen, but didn’t like the rest of the feel. Stopped using it. I wish the pedal wasn’t so sensitive in Normal, it’s fatiguing.

I have a Powerboost and the Eco mode switches to all electric as much as it can, helping me get 24+mpg. I try and use Eco M-F and save the sport mode for weekends, since sport is so much more fun to use. Of course after my last fill-up, I may use Eco modes on the weekends until gas prices settle down.

Use it all the time. 90% of my driving is highway. I get up to cruising in normal then switch to ECO. gains me 1-2 MPG on longer trips.

I’ve started using eco exclusively. Most of my driving is cruising on two lane roads or highway. I like how cruise control handles acceleration in eco, a little smoother than normal. I also appreciate that it doesn’t launch like crazy like in normal mode thanks to the sensitive pedal.

I’m not racing my truck, so appreciate the subdued nature of it. It’ll still get moving up to speed if you mash the pedal, just in a more refined and controlled way.

you get 24MPG? That's amazing. Not that I'm all about mileage (I'm fine with the 16-17MPG I get), I haven't broken 18-19MPG and I'm consistent in the 99% range for acceleration, braking, etc. I use eco mode on the highway when not towing and when using cruise, never use sport - and no where close to 20MPG.

I've used it on my '20 5.0; but it's so damned hilly where I live, that it seems more efficient to leave it in Normal. I have to press the gas significantly harder in Eco to get it to climb some of these hills without losing speed.
I will say, when the family is riding with me, I use Eco, as the throttle tip-in is more gentle, as are the shifts. Apparently I have a delicate family.

Of course, on long highway drives with cruise on, why not?

Certainly not every drive, but I can pretty easily get 22+mpg when driving around town on eco if the traffic is moving 30-50mph with not too many stops. After driving around for a while and letting the battery charge, I can usually get 24-26mpg.

I did a road trip this past weekend and averaged 21mpg, with stretches of the highway being 70 or 75mph. The only times I had diminished mpg was one time when I was pulling a uhaul on a road trip (17mpg) and another was a 5-hour drive with a wicked headwind that kept triggering the turbos to maintain my highway speed.

I use it all the time. Guess I don't live on a race track.

At highway speeds with CC on, it’s great. I get about 24 MPG. Using it around town is garbage. ??‍♂

I have not seen any addl MPG in eco. On average I get 24 with some trips hitting 27. One 14 mile trip was 29.1 MPG. I drive freeway 65 to 70 and around town about 5 over. 22 powerboost XLT with 5.5 bed, heavy towing 3.73 rear. 29 MPG trip was without air it was a wonderful cool morning.

I'm mostly in ECO for city driving and Normal for highway.
