Does anyone know if the active motion massage seats can be added after purchase or if they will be a retro fit from ford at a latter date

Ahhhh ok, I missed that part, thought it was from an XLT upgrade.... well now I need to find someone in the Pac NW to do the work. If this was an Autolite C6 4v carb Id be all over it... if I attempted this, I would short the entire truck... guaranteed.
Thank you again.
My Truck has been converted to a lariat.. It has lariat seats and all.

Hey Jesse, thanks for your contribution to this thread. I joined this forum site specifically to get info on this project.

Do you have a 'second' list or breakdown for those of us that have Platinums? We already have all the bladders, bags and pumps Im guessing, just need the 'controllers' I would think? Im not a new truck mechanical guru, but if you could list those parts or maybe edit the parts with bracketed "applies to" context, that could help others? For example:

PUMP
MU5Z5865530J (SXT, XL, XLT, Lariats w\o airbags)
MU5Z5865530E (SXT, XL, XLT, Lariats w\o airbags)

HARNESS (THIS WILL BE A BIG VARIANCE. MANY FACTORS PLAY INTO WHAT HARNESS YOU NEED. THESE WILL BE FOR B&O UNLEASHED WITH POWER RUNNING BOARDS)

DRIVER SEAT
MU5Z14A698F (SEAT BACK) (All)
MU5Z14A699KA (CURRENTLY ON BACK ORDER) (SEAT BOTTOM) (All)

PASSENGER
MU5Z14A699E (SEAT BACK) (B&O 18 with auto running boards)
MU5Z14A699NNA SEAT BOTTOM)

Something like this?
Thank you again.
I recently added the multi contour back in to my truck. ‘22 platinum and I needed every part on the list. If yours has the delete listed on the sticker you will need everything!

Thanks Sparks, I def want to do this. Did you do this yourself or hire it out after you bought all the parts?

I performed the install by myself with support from Jesse and another members who was kind enough to share his FORScan file. Saved me from hand entering the changes! From seat removal to install took 4 hours including FORScan changes. I did the cup holder, media bin and glove box lights while the seats were out.

For the full list of seat components it was about $1800. The lights and wiring harness about $200. I already had FORScan and cable.
Having the additional ambient lighting and massaging seats, priceless!

I’m on the fence about this retrofit. The ONLY reason I would retrofit it is simply because I can. The MCS is IMO, very underwhelming and frankly useless (again, this is my opinion, I understand many people love the feature) and I have never used it in any vehicle I have owned that had MCS from the factory. But I have REALLY been enjoying retrofitting OEM parts on my truck

I don't have a forscan. Other then possibly these changes, I have no plan on any modifications. Is the forscan something that could be rented from somewhere or is it all purchase?

FORScan would be the cheapest piece of the puzzle.

I'm surprised that you wouldn't use the seat massage on that long commute of yours. :)
(by the way, congrats on the new sweet commuter truck!)

I first got the feature 2 trucks back but purchased the truck out of inventory. (remember those days?)
I thought it a novelty until I made one of my jaunts to see family in San Antonio (200 miles) and discovered the real value of the massage. It rid me of the monkey-butt I would get in a long sitting. Definitely helped with circulation.

Now I've had it in 3 trucks. I would be very disappointed to not have any trip longer than my daily commute. (45 minutes one way)

And then there's the LOOK
I know that shouldn't matter so much but dang those wings are sweet looking. And they TOO actually add to comfort.

I ONLY did the upgrade to see if it could be done for the people on the forum. I thought I wouldnt use it mainly because Ive never had it. I installed it and man. I love it. Longer drives it makes them way more enjoyable. I just picked up a new bronco and the drive from Florida I was wishing I had the MCS the whole time because the fatigue you start to feel in the seat.

I think its one of those things you dont know how good it is until you have it. Also.. the main benefit my Wife loves it.

My 2017 explorer had it, my 2020 explorer ST has it and that 2017 MKZ I had for a month had it also. I tried to like it, but it just felt like someone was pushing on me.

Im not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I’m a highly competitive amateur strongman (I’m a middle weight so I compete at 231, I’m not big like brian Shaw lol) and my muscles are very dense and thick. I need a lot more pressure to really do anything.

That's my favorite thing about you.
You get it.
She wouldn't be near as willing to share so much of you with us if you didn't have those priorities right. :)
