Asking for a friend.

I drive 21' 5.0 as well. Not sure why manufacturers fail to specify the exact amount that it represents. You never want to overfill your engine with oil and if you need to top it off, why not making it claer: add half qt, half full qt, etc.I'm guessing between 1.25 to 1.75 quarts, maybe as much as 2 quarts. FYI my 2021 5.0L takes 7.0 quarts with a filter to get it between the top of the hash marks and the top full hole.
Got my 5.0 first oil change today at dealer. They put 8.8 qts in it. I asked about the 7.7 fill. They were positive the 22 v8 took 8.8 qts. Now it’s way over full on the dipstick. Anybody have any insight for me.I drive 21' 5.0 as well. Not sure why manufacturers fail to specify the exact amount that it represents.
