In general I'd say it pretty accurate. I had a blacked out car in the height of the bling/dub era around 2000 and now leaning chrome. I guess I like the opposite of what is primarily in the style.I thought it was an easy formula? >40 years of age Chrome , <40 years of age sport color match... I started out really wanting color match and against chrome. You see a lot of sport colored bumpers and 20" sport wheel 14th gens on the road. I talked my self into going against popular choice, you can even tell by the responses in this post what's popular. I am under 40 and went with chrome, I haven't hated it yet.
That's a great way to look at it. Starting with Chrome will give you more options. I couldn't get the sport package on my 21 Lariat because I needed the bench seat up front. Ended up wrapping the bumpers and painting the grill and badges myself. The way I see it, I can choose chrome now and wrap the bumpers and handles later. I can't really choose paint matched now and wrap them in chrome later lol. I guess I could but not sure how gaudy it would look.
Do you have any pics of the side badges zoomed out a bit to see more of the fender? That looks pretty killer.I went sport package with my Lariat. Agate black, but I am keeping the factory black and chrome 18’s. I did replace the factory fender badges with black American flags. Did black and grey vinyl overlays on the blue ovals and left the outer chrome rings showing. Also leaving on the chrome tip on the exhaust. Color matched with some exterior touches looks nice. Besides the interior has plenty of chrome to satisfy anyone lol.
I couldn't disagree more.I associate color matched with "cheap" as chrome adds more to the price for a vehicle.
I'd say the height of marketing is "Chrome-like PVD Wheels" in a Chrome Package. I think they call it "Chrome Appearance Package" because it appears to be chrome until the first salt filled Michigan winter.I associate color matched with "cheap" as chrome adds more to the price for a vehicle. Interesting that guys pay more for a truck with less chrome as a very expensive color package option. Have to give credit to the marketing people to be able to sell less for more money.
Yep.Do you have any pics of the side badges zoomed out a bit to see more of the fender? That looks pretty killer.
Thanks dude. Looks really good.Yep.
