i'm not an electrician, but worked a summer for a relamping company changing out lights/ballasts in big box department stores. i got a 277V shock one time only and that was enough. one of the first feelings i ever experienced.

i'm a believer in the mudflaps. put them on every truck.

In Canada it law here as well, but how many trucks I see without them , a law that is barely enforced…

At a minimum the use of splash guards at all four wheels along with running boards protect the sides of the truck from rocks tossed up by the tires. They also keep the truck a lot cleaner.

Mud flaps are more important if towing a trailer or is using very aggressive "mud" tires. These used to be standard equipment on Toyota trucks but now even with their trucks one needs to add them after purchase.

I problem for me is that my 2022 truck came with factory side steps that are much narrower than the usual running boards and provide far less protection for the sides of the truck and also are quite slipery when wet. They are the primary defect of my truck.

In my case in Canada yes. The ice and snow in the winter gets caught up in my rear bumper and stops my rear sensors from working

Not a big fan of them but I did put the Weathertech ones on front and rear. Help quite a bit up here in New England.

I have them on my truck. Love them. They keep crap off of the sides of my truck. My truck is not even driven when it's wet outside so I hate driving through water and having traces on my fenders etc.

I was on a beer run yesterday after work and had to drive through a drying puddle to park. I could tell as I was leaving the front tires were caked with mud and stones, and the sound on the road as I was leaving confirmed it. I got to the next stop and there was no mud at all on the running boards or up the side of the truck. Just confirmed that they're a good addition

i have all four ford plastic things, used points
i used to use weather techs, but these seem to work and are supported a bit better in the rear wheel area
they are surprisingly flexible, yet strong
they do keep a good bit of crap off the sides and out back

I just purchased the Ford front and rear flaps for my '23. I notice though that on the rear, the trim piece only has the one hole for the Christmas tree. Wondering if the flaps would sufficiently hold with just the one screw and the mounting bar or do I need to pull that entire trim piece off and drill another hole? Anybody with a '23 had that experience and care to share what you did on that when you mounted the flaps? Thanks.

All trucks should have at least rear flaps. It stops rocks from hitting vehicles behind you. Should be mandatory.

Fronts are nice to keep the sludge/snow/rocks off the truck.

I have never owned a truck without all 4.

Drill the hole. I had to do this on my 2022.

Just came in from putting them on. A bit of finagling is all it took to get that second hole in the trim piece. All went well. Thanks.

You have AT tires on a truck that’s not even driven when it’s wet out? I don’t get it.
