Hi guys, test drove a 2.7 SCREW today. First time driving an EB & overall was very impressed with it & the 21 in general.

HOWEVER, this is a brand new truck and had a shimmy, almost like a miss at idle. Tach didn't budge but it was noticeable. Maybe like a 4 cyl shudder at idle with the ac on, ya know?

Is that normal for these motors?

Edit- noticed in drive (normal drive mode) and in park

Every now and then mine will do it, I always look to the tach but it never moves. I just assume it’s something kicking on or charging up like the auto stop feature.

Mine has a shutter sometimes. One time, bad enough that the tach dropped about 200mpg’s but that’s the only time I’ve noticed it on the tach. I’m gonna see if it continues. If so, I’ll take it to the dealer. If not, I’m just gonna roll with it.

Mine will have an almost unnoticeable shutter when idling with the AC on. Otherwise buttery smooth.

I would say that yes mine does have it, it seems especially noticeable on hot days (so likely when AC is on)

Yes on loaner 5k miles with ac on it shakes bad. The last loaner I had at 3k miles had no shake. I did fill it up today see if different gas helps.

Happens on mine upon initial startup/cold start and dissipates as the engine warms up. Happens inconsistently when coming to a complete stop at lights.

Did anybody get an answer for this “shudder”? I have the same issue on my 3.5L ecoboost. Some say it’s normal some days it’s not. It’s driving me nuts!

Yea I keep seeing this relearn process everywhere. I’ve attempted it but not sure if I’m doing it correctly.
Gotit. If that doesn't work, it may be a dealer visit unfortunately.

I have an appointment tomorrow morning to drop it off. One dealership already stated it’s “normal” yet they didn’t even inspect the vehicle. The truck drives amazing other than that. 22MPG at 75mph on the highway and everything. Just a little frustrating
